Klar is right, thank you.
it's all young and fun and skiing and then one day you login and it's relationship advice, gomer glacier tours and geezers.

Pach Horse Stock COOL
It appears that you were packing into the wilderness in an offical capacity with the USFS?
I have been camping with a guide and Pack horses 1 time several years ago.
I hope to do that again, its the way to go!

^^^^ yep! I had always been a backpacking ranger but in the GV Wilderness we spend a lot of time patrolling and working with the horses. It's my first summer of riding/packing on a regular basis and it's been a lot of fun. Never really would have considered myself a horse person but I'm really starting to enjoy it and I love those horses like they're my kids. Super, super amazing animals. Not that it's easy-- they definitely try to test you.
Trackhead, I took the liberty of rotating that pic 180 degrees from the way it would probably make the most sense. I was standing on top of a cliff band that had a ledge about halfway up it. Austin climbed on to the ledge and did a backflip while I took the picture from almost directly above.
Bobby- not gonna be in CO this fall before heading to the GMD. You're welcome to crash the E-floor anytime-- come up and visit!

Many thanks. Use to work for Forest Service surveyng Aspen trees in the late 70's. Our area of responibility was northeastern Utah, eastern Idaho, western Wyoming to the Montana border. Two guys, pickup truck, use of 18' trailrer if neeed, and USFS gas cards. Be out a week or two at a time. SWEEET!!!!!
But of all the areas we went into, the Gros Ventre was always the best. The mosy diverse fauna and flora-----but most of all-----the most mysterious.
The shapes of the topgraphy, the color of the geology, and the spirits. GOOD VIBES.
Are the Basque sheephearders still around?
Thanks for the flashbacks." have another hit of sweet california sunshine"
