    Great news!

There's a new "Our man in..." for Capt. Slow. This time in America.

This looks entertaining. Like they’re cramming a bunch of funny show segments into one big special.

Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

If the Peugeot segment is any indicator of this special I’m gonna laugh my ass off.

This show is awesome. If you have any experience in agriculture you’ll find it hilarious. Caleb reading Jeremy the riot act is great.

Finally caught up and watched it.

    This was /Clarksonvoice “fantastic”.

A good ol, return to form slapass romp around wrecking cars and making fun of the French.

    Laughed my ass off.

I think it was well done within the constraints of filming during covid like the previous American cars episode. But I miss the bigger expedition episodes that GT was doing so well since they got rid of the "tent" and celebrity challenges.

That felt like a throwback to what the guys do best. The smaller slapstick pieces. I wish there was more DS, but the SM will have to do. Looks like it used to be Mike Brewer's car. It's in Tyrrell's shop now.

I'm hoping it'll be as good as Our Man in Japan....

Yepper. I’m supposed to wait and watch with the family, but that’s not gonna happen. Just gotta play dumb on the second watch.

ETA: pretty damn good. Stick around for the credits.

That tunnel wreck was painful to watch.

Damn, I only saw Clarksons post about the wreck with a clip.

    Bim looked seriously stunned/hurt.

    Yeah… weird stunt tbh

    Edit….

I thought it was classic and a very entertaining watch.

Didn’t want to give anything away, but yeah, Captain Slow (and vehicle) took a beating. The wreck on the ice is like my nightmare scenario.

This long term fan only got thru 2/3 of the Scandi episode before realizing it was kinda boring.

The tunnel segment was weird. Typically they’d provide / invent / handwave some sort of context or relevance to the competitive event, but they couldn’t be bothered to do that this time.
Know of a pair of Fischer Ranger 107Ti 189s (new or used) for sale? PM me.

It’s lost its goofy fun for me…just seems to be trying too hard (like Hammond trying to get on a T-bar…what a waste of time)

    End of an era.

Clarkson, Hammond and May are leaving the Grand Tour with the upcoming Zimbabwe special to be their last.

    https://www.independent.co.uk/arts-e...-b2455937.html

BBC also axed Top Gear after Freddie Flintoff wrecked a Morgan filming for the upcoming season. Shame, as I thought Flintoff, McGuiness and Chris Harris were the best trio since the GT guys left.

I enjoy Clarkson's Farm, May's Our Man In series and Hammond's various projects, but nothing will ever beat the work they did together these past 2 decades.

Really have been enjoying that series. He's a great IG follow as well. Such great takes on cars and car culture. Doesn't hurt he can drive like hell too.

End of an era, indeed. Been watching those three for more of my life than I care to admit.

I can't say this is too surprising. They are getting old.

Yeah, but they're all working twice as hard on their own individual projects. Farmin' ain't easy.
