That is an awesome story Lee. Look into Grundy Int'l. They insure classics only, so they are pretty good at what they do. You just send them some pics of what they want to see, and they will send you back a policy if they like what they see. My buddy has a hot rod insured through them. I was doubtful that they would touch a lifted Jeep, but they insured me for $8500 replacement, and full liability and uninsured coverage. I can't drive it to work or school, but there is no mileage restriction. There is also no offroad restriction, but I imagine that if I made a claim with no police report, they might deny.

I was dealing with Hagerty which is pretty particular about what they insure, but they are super nice people to deal with. I guess this was their first Highboy, and they weren't sure the worth until they checked it out.

Hands-down, the sickest rig here or just about anywhere. I see those everywhere here but they're all rusted out, shit boxes. I'd blow Iceman for that thing.

Really wishing I had taken a pic of my 33 year old truck pulling my 40 year old Boston Whaler before I towed the boat back up to CT last summer.

It came with a 360, but it has a 390 in it now.
    I almost put a 7.3 in it..
If I had to do it all over, I probably would put a 460 in it., but it would probably upset the balance, and right now it has a good balance..
Not so much weight on the front.
I have a 2013 powerstroke, and this truck will walk all over it on a 4wheel mission. No contest.

Really nice job Lee. Did you have to lift it? Looks about perfect with those wheels and tires. Any smaller would look odd. 35`s?

I would kill to be able to just take the bed off and have access to the whole rear and the exhaust. Would make things so much easier. I have slowly been undercoating with POR , and Durabac. Total pita though, working upside down and taping stuff first.

Looks awesome. I might have to add a Highboy Crew Cab to my dream garage. Already have one of the trucks, but still want a `70`s Bronco, FJ80, Scout II, and a Cherokee Chief. Gonna need a bigger garage, and a more tolerant wife.
