JFC, Skoug. Neither old nor a truck, and a unibody chassis so it can't even claim to be derived from an actual truck. Might as well post a pic of your Solstice while you're at it.

    point taken.

you might have to be more specific for some others though. I have owned many suvs and I believe the ford explorer I had was licensed as a truck, I suppose it shared the f150 platform.

    Love the older yoda's .. more than the new even. we have a 15' 4runner and a 00' 4runner with 240k. I'll choose the 00' any day.

Nice style man. What’s up with the tie down straps on outside of bed? Guessing for ladder rack tie down of things having over. Never seen that before - assume it’d be a rust magnet, but I dig the ride.

I don't know what the original use for the hooks outside the bed but they're great for tying a tarp over the bed and keeping things dry inside. I remember seeing them in the 70's on trucks, they're not strong but are great for a canvas.
It actually is pretty rusty underneath the 20+ year old paint, but somehow most of the Bondo has stayed in place and keeps it looking acceptable. Surprisingly the rust on my '81 Toyota 4x4 hasn't gotten any worse either in the last 20 years either, usually living next to salt water will turn a car to rust in a few years but so far I've been lucky.

My new old rig. 86 Chevy, just dropped a 6.0 V8 w/100k on it. Still have a little work to do before I make it my new family ski bus.

My other old truck, 62' Scout 80, bought it in Arizona rust free, did an LS swap on it. Added a 2inch lift and 33" Tires.

Wow! Nice pics. Love the lines of both of those. Sharp and clean. An LS swap is amazing. Sweet summer daily driver

Ranger might have sucked a bit to begin with but the thing is it was always fucking cheap, later on I think they sold the shitty spec down there and shipped the better spec up here cuz ever one I see is 4L V6/ 4x4/excab and is better equiped, the ford dealer told me the biggest market for the ranger was Manitoba eh

IME when they shut the line downafter 29 yars in 2011 the Ranger had caught up to the mid 90's toyota mini PU's and i've had them both, so for a measley 19K I got a 4x4/ ex-cab/ really simple no trouble 4.0 L V6 that got 26mpg, 9 yars later I sold it and truck only cost me about 1K a year to drive pretty much no problems so by the time Ford was done with the Ranger yeah it was a real truck, it was the last of the mini trucks

I saw one last summer, on the side of the road with a for sale sign on it, it had obviously been just pulled out of a barn or whatever. I was on the way to the grocery store, figured I'd check it on the way back. Sold. Maybe 45 minutes later. Fack.

I totally scored Ice. Same sort of scenario. It was for sale for a couple hours, I bought it sight unseen. Fuck Rev, good to see you around these parts. Been a long time. Still grateful for playing tour guide for me at Sun Valley many many moons ago. Nice rig dude.

The truck used in the woods and for general screwing around. I posted pics during the lift install.
