Always seemed a possibility once the FI buyout took place and with Williams having ever bigger money troubles. Mercedes are probably making it cost effective to have them train their new megastar in waiting.

They've got to give him a better car than this year's though. PM Mr Vandoorne for details how a glittering future can be crushed by a pig of a car.

    Ditto.

But you have to give it to the guy as a racing driver he has to be considered among the very best ever. His driving this year has been exquisite.

Meanwhile Vettel continues to dismantle his reputation race by race. It's painful to watch.

To me, it seems that yesterday was strange in that Ferrari seemed to out strategize Mercedes. I think that Vettel is a better driver than Hamilton, but the Mercedes team is much better than Ferrari. His pass of Botas in lap 55 was exquisite.

I used to think this and maybe it was true when Vettel was in his full pomp at Red Bull.

But I'm firmly of the opinion now that if you put them in the same team Hamilton would have the beating of him.

    It's very, very close though.

The two of them, and Alonso, are significantly ahead of the rest of the grid. With Max fast catching them up.. his drive yesterday and his general increase in maturity this season has been incredible to see.

Could be, but I think that a lot of Hamilton's success is the direct result of Niki Lauda. No one has ever been able to set up a car like Lauda.

At 21 Max is a rockstar. One day, I can see his name mentioned in the same sentence as Lauda and Senna. But, he does have a ways to go.

Not sure I'd necessarily agree... but clearly you've seen the movie Rush.

I think Lauda would be the first person to admit that he has zero technical input in the team. And I very much doubt a driver from his era(s) would know where to begin to "set up" this era of cars.

Kind of a weird race. Hamilton definitely got a lucky break there. I wonder if he could have gotten it done without Max's help.

Max is starting to get on my nerves. Pompous lil prick.
Ocon asked if he could unlap himself . Hammy told Max he should've been more careful.
That's what ya get for being a twat, MAX. primadonna cunt.

Like him or not, Hamilton showed me something by winning in Brazil. How many times can you say, "he got lucky, or this and that"?
Max is very aggressive. This is a tough situation, but Ocan should not have pushed it here.

Hammy has grown on me. He seems more humble, the more he wins. Dude is a bad ass but I still like Kimi's style and demeanor the best right now.
