Boyfriend ran into this beautiful cat in Town Square at Jackson Hole while I was ripping at Grand Targhee.
Told him to kidnap, but got the message too late.
Miss having cat.

At some point another cat will choose you.
Maybe even the same one.

Very emotional day.
Boyfriend surprised me with a vile of Sister’s ash.
We love Tetons and come to Jackson every year.
He brought up the idea to release some ash at the top of Rendezvous.
Now every time I’m riding the tram and look at the Corbet’s, I’ll think about her.
I miss her every breathing moment.

My cats are awesome, but I’m never gonna carry their ashes to High Boy.

Oh...okay. Well, I'm sure everyone else was waiting to hear your opinion regarding proper protocol after a cat death.

I don’t like to be nasty to others whom I never met online.
But I do have soft spots and you step on them, I’m gonna react.

Awwww, that's nice Meg! Glad you got to do that.
Neighbor trapped this sweet boy last night and gave me a call to help out (she's packing to move to CA in a week). I took him in to have him scanned and checked. No chip and intact. Cat has a neck like a 28oz can of stewed tomatoes and is a total chunk! He's really sweet. Loves to be petted and scratched and I can pick him up. Not totally sure if he's feral but he seems a little rough around the edges from fights.
The humane society doesn't do low budget kitten fixin' until Monday so I have him hold-up in the bedroom of a vacant house I have on the property. He's got everything he needs including a nightlight and some catnip. I'll check on him a couple times a day so he doesn't feel too isolated. It was my only choice as the HS wouldn't hold him there (they are under construction). I think he'll be fine.
When he's fixed I'll release him back on my neighbor's place. Already talked to the new owner (she's a friend) and she is happy to have him mouse around the barn. She's named him "Mulligan".

That's awesome KQ!
My neighbor just adopted a 10 year old tuxedo from Jackson named Blackberry. He's a big handsome fellow, super sweet and affectionate. The family got a kitten and didn't want him anymore. Who does that??? He gets along great with her dogs and her other cat is starting to accept him.

My neighbor who trapped him told me to just go dump him somewhere. Uh.... no! He's not all that happy in the house by himself but I keep checking on him and bringing him treats. I did set a bed up for him as you can see in the pic but I think I'm going to add a nice big cardboard box for him to hide in because when I came in this morning he was hiding in the corner crying. I picked him up and placed him in the bed and gave him some loving. He purred and drooled. I keep thinking he must have been a pet at some point. Can't imagine a feral cat, esp. a Tom allowing me to pick him up and love on him. Wish he didn't have to wait until Tuesday to get fixed but I can't release him unaltered. Doubt I could catch him again. He'll be happier fixed.

They will sometimes let you pet them but he must have been handled before if you could pick him up. Maybe take him a toy or something.

I'm beginning to think this cat might belong to someone. After posting him on a local page I got a response from someone with a picture of the a cat that looked remarkably like him down to the chipped canine but she lives quite a ways away. She said she had found him and was working on cleaning him up (matted fur, fleas, etc) when he disappeared. This was some time ago and now she can't take him back because of her daughter's health issues.
Anyhoo... I'm going to go down to where the crazy lady who trapped him lives and go door to door asking. It's a cluster development of 10, 10 acre lots with only 2/3 developed so not too many doors to knock on. He is such a nice cat. I really feel he has a home that wants him back. This morning he rolled over onto his back so I could give him a belly rub and he purred like crazy.
