It was funny to watch them arrange themselves. Very delicate dance, Ugly came in last and got swipped a bunch of times while tip-toeing across my gut. Then he settled right on top of Artie and fell asleep with his nose shoved in his back. Those 2 will swipe at each other any chance they get but there is a napping clause in their arrangement and they can sleep in a pile without fighting.

Well, he Is in Utah, so it's not out of the question that he could get three wives to sit with him on the sofa. The rest of us would get killed if three wives found out about each other.

Like I said - Bright's was voted the best chocolate shop in the state. Paul (the owner) is an amazing chocolatier. Poor man works like a dog from November to April trying to keep up with orders for Christmas, Valentines and Easter. Speaking of which Valentines is next month and Paul pulls out all the stops with a YUGE selection of lovely heart boxes that you can fill with your own selection or chocolates of their choosing. Personally I'm a fan of their specialty selection (what I sent you guys). Were there any in particular your Mom liked or didn't?

Beyond chocolate they also do amazing caramel corn plain, chocolate covered, mixed-up with pretzels and white chocolate plus other goodies. Lots of caramel apples too plus all kinds of gummy candies. Oh, and they have sugar free chocolate too.
Holy cow. I just checked out the site for Bright's and see they have a mobile ice cream/chocolate truck. Glad that's not around here or the COVID 10 would be tripe that. I'm going to order some candy for sure. thanks KQ.

Still reeling from the adoption of the dog. She spends time in the house but wouldn't be caught dead hanging around the other animals, she's much too classy for them...

She spent the night at the neighbors. She was agitated and they couldn't get her to leave. Didn't want to be there either.

We had a cold snap and for a few days were keeping the dog and cat close by, not much outside time. Yesterday at 6:30am my wife let her out and she didn't come back. It was still cold. We feared the worst because our street is busy. We hoped she had holed up somewhere. Apparently she snuck into our friends' house next door when they weren't looking. They didn't recognize the cat. They saw me this morning and asked, thankfully.

    Horrible day at Chateau TBS

In a total freak accident, Squeak slipped this AM when she jumped off our bed, caught her hind leg in some furniture and broke her femur, fibula, and tibia in a bunch of places. Commutated fractures.

She's 14. The choice was multiple pins, long convalescence and disability for the rest of her life, or euthanasia.

Just got back from escorting her over the rainbow bridge. Ms TBS is devastated, and I'm not feeling too great myself.

We had her for 12.5 years. Her first two humans were less than great. The first traumatized her, including a decision to cut off her claws then put her in a shelter when she peed in their closet in protest.

Her second human had to go to a memory center six months after adopting her. Back to the shelter.

She was fine with us, other than occasionally peeing outside her box. We kept her inside as there are owls, coyotes and mtn cats around. She had some nice perches to watch the deer and people go by. I sometimes felt bad keeping her indoors, but several friends here have lost their kitties to predators.

    A little photo retrospective

She would also sit on Ms TBS desk, next to the laptop's fan outlet, and "supervise" her work.

    Miss ya kitty...
