    ^^^ Awwwwwwwww

Rescue dog and rescue cat anxiously awaiting the return of Ms Boissal, the keeper of the foods, who was just out of sight in the bedroom. The level of anxiety over her disappearance was palpable.

Looks like a burrowing Ugly Kitty, now in a foul mood for having been disturbed while hibernating:

It's been real sketchy sitting on beds around here. He burrows under the covers and bunches them up enough that he's completely invisible. Both Ms Boissal and I have sat on him a couple of times, fortunately not square on but enough that claws came out and there was furious flailing so he could get out from under the covers. It's hilarious to find him under there though, he looks so confused when you suddenly flip the comforter over and he has to deal with the harsh light of day!

We have a new foster in our house. His name is Dan and he was found half-frozen in a snowbank on the side of the road on a -20 day. The guy that found him thought he was dead until he opened his eyes. Cat couldn't move and was found to have a broken pelvis. After 24hrs in the hospital he hadn't eaten or moved or gone to the bathroom. Within 12hrs of coming into our house he had eaten and drank and used the litter box. He still doesn't move much, but he will walk to the litter and his food and to get scritches from us.
And Ben is being an asshole to him, so he stays in the spare room.

Props from fostering Dan, and excellent name choice for the pair!

The guy that dug him out of the snowbank was named Dan, so that's why he was named that.
He stays in the spare bedroom/office in an x-pen with the door closed. We will open it and let the cats look at each other, but that's all. Jben is a bully, he doesn't like other cats at all. It took him a few months to get used to Meeps, and he still punches her from time to time. Meeps is very curious about the new guy, and the dog doesn't give two shits.

Good stuff CA. I had a rescue with a similar back story. Friend of a friend was in the woods walking their dog during a brutally cold period and heard a crying-screaming sound. They tracked it down and it was a young kitty nearly frozen to death. When I received him the pour guy looked like hell. He lost the majority of his ears and a few paw pads from the frost bite, and turned out to be the most loving loyal cat buddy I've ever had.

Some of you guys would appreciate this little story… moved last year, first day I’m sitting on the porch and the neighbors cat comes by. She comes close, I pet her. Everyday she comes by, I pet her, she leaves. Eventually she starts jumping in my lap. Now she comes in the house. Her head pops up in the window and she meows like crazy, we let her in. When she’s ready to go she stands by the door and meows we let her out. She sleeps on our bed in the afternoon for hours some days. She sits on our laps, or next to us on the couch happy as a clam. I’ve adopted a few strays in my life, but never been adopted. I read into it a little and I guess that when cats get something they want out of their territory they can be quick to move with little remorse for what they’re leaving behind. We try and be respectful of her owners. They don’t seem real bothered. She still goes home to eat.

Our Amber would go in our neighbors house and sleep on their bed in the afternoon. To lazy to come home or maybe their home was quite with no kids there.

Instead of finding a neighbor for some quiet, Miss Mayhem curls up on our bed which is out of the way and comfy. Nobody bothers her there until around 11pm when we go to bed.
