    Kitty Stoke

Took him a month to fall asleep in open.
Now he comes to bed to sleep with us at night.

August 31st, the day he came home with us.
He was all head not enough body.

Awwwww that pic of him when you brought him home is so sad. He looks so depressed. Glad to see he's enjoying life now!

Jackson might need that suit in a month.
His nice set of hairy balls will empty out on November 8th.

Unfortunately the suit doesn't work for neuters because it doesn't cover their junk but most don't need it as their surgery is pretty minor without exposed sutures like a spay.

Ugh. I'm going to have to find a home for the new stray that is hanging around at my house. I feel really bad about it. He is very attached to me but he is not getting along with my house cats mostly because of they don't want him around, less because he is aggressive. He's a sweetie and I'd love to keep him (I know he wants to live here) but I can't do it at the expense of the cats that are already here and their fights have already cost me $200 in vet bills not to mention the expense of getting him fixed and vaccinated. I'm bummed but he needs a home where he can be the only one and be loved.

so what is the better option take him to the HS (no kill shelter) and tell them I'll take him back if he doesn't get adopted or to post him on a local FB page?

He's an outdoor cat now but I think he would do fine as an indoor/outdoor cat. He seems very savvy about things and will use a litter box (I've had to sequester him in the shop a few times so my house cats can go out in peace). He def. wants human company and I think he would enjoy the companionship of another cat if that cat wouldn't fight him. Probably be good with a kitten. Not sure of his age but def. under a year.

Probably the shelter better, unless you want to be around while folks come to your location to see Mr. Kitty. Many shelters advertise the pets available for adoption on line and else where.

A quick search on feline rescue walla walla turned up some interesting results that I’d be looking at if I were in your situation.

I’ve got a situation going here. A friendly cat that belonged to a neighbor has been hanging around for affection and eating at my place so much lately that I think he may have been abandoned. One of my older indoor cats hates him, and charges the window whenever he shows up, so if he’s ‘adopting me’, he’s gonna be outdoors only. There are heated outdoor shelters so he should be fine. I’ll have to visit the neighbor’s place to see what’s up, but I’m not sure which house it is.

But the real problem is that there’s been a totally, completely feral cat that I’ve been feeding for years and the neighbor’s cat and he don’t get along at all. Competition for food and shelter here is likely to cause friction, and my heart really goes out to the feral cat because he’s pretty pathetic.

Sounds like we're in the same boat.

I chatted with the folks at BMHS today and set up an appt to have him evaluated. They said he could be placed as a barn cat though I think he would rather be closer to people. We'll see what happens. Right now they have a ton of cats for adoption many that look just like him (same color).
