Good for you. Looks like a nice calm kitty. Our new gray inmate is a scaredy cat. It is going to take at least a month to get her use to us and the pack here. Introduced her to the bedroom today (under the bed most of the day) to finally emerge around dinner time to snuggle mom. Baby steps, but I can live with it.

The gray inmate looks hilariously lanky! At that age they need to do a lot of growing into their limbs... Guess when she stops being skiddish she'll take over the house.

Andy taunting Romeo with the gopher he caught.
Rome is the head of the Clowder and takes his share of kills but I think Andy does this intentionally to curry favor. Andy is one of the recently returned brothers.
Andy will lay like that making Rome come in close to get it. He lets him take it but will give a half hearted hiss and maybe a fake swat for show.

Holy shit it was a rough day. After 18 years we had to say goodbye to the queen of the house. Hardest part was watching my three adult children crying as she went to sleep .
Here she is not too long ago with her much younger housemates, waiting for breakfast.
I always enjoy all the cat love in this thread. Thanks to everyone for posting up the pics!

I didn't catch her name, but rest in peace little girl.
RAINBOW BRIDGE
There is a bridge connecting Heaven and Earth.
It is called Rainbow Bridge because of its many splendid colors.
Just this side of Rainbow Bridge there is a land of meadows, hills,
and valleys with lush, green grass.
When beloved pets die, they go to this place.
There is always food and water and warm spring weather.
The old and frail animals are young again.
Those who are maimed are made whole again.
They play all day with each other.
There is only one thing missing.
They are not with their special person who loved
them on earth.
So each day they run and play.
Until the day comes when one suddenly stops playing and looks up!
The nose twitches.
The ears are up!
The eyes are staring.
And this one suddenly runs from the group.
You have been seen!
And when you and your special friend meet,
you take her in your arms and embrace.
Your face is kissed again and again and again,
and you look once more more into the eyes of your beloved kitty.
Then you cross the Rainbow Bridge together...
Never again to be separated.

Vibes man, 18 years is a solid run.
And props for rocking the 4 cats household, it's quite the achievement, shows true dedication to the kitties.
Came home yesterday to find Ms Boissal crying while petting Uglykitty. She's still hurting bad from watching Simon and Artie cross over.

Looks like I don't pay close enough attention to what is going on in here. Boissal and liv2ski, so sorry to read about your recent losses. That sucks.

After some deliberation, we decided to put a cat door in the basement door. I think it’s a success.
