Best description of him I've read so far. He's never looked like an after picture for sure...
He's stressed about the dog. She is an attention whore and gets too close for comfort. It's been upsetting his napping habits lately, thus the basket-on-table safe space.

Awesome move! Kittens are great but old cats don't deserve to live their lives in the shelter. We just pulled a 12ish year-old chocolate lab out of a kill shelter, watching her bounce around happy as can be has been making my days lately. Once our kitties cross the rainbow bridge (hopefully not for a long time) we'll stick to adopting old ones who've been in the shelter forever. It's so great to watch them settle in and live the life!

Thanks you guys, it’s really cool to see her settling in. She’s sleeping a ton right now, shelter is loud and kinda hot. Afternoon nap

Norm cat life is sleep 20 hours a day. She will be catching up for some time. When she sleeps with her belly up you know she is content

While I am glad that we have Miss Mayhem, she's a character, my vote had been to get a senior shelter cat. I was overruled. One cat and one dog is all we want right now.

TG was adopted at about 5 years old after being at the shelter for 3 years (WTF?) I will never understand this and those who rescue the older pets get the best powder day evar everyday in Heaven.

Awww that's so sweet..... and for the rest of you......

Next time you get a pet... if you REALLY want to do good try Tyson's Place

    Our Mission
Tyson’s Place Animal Rescue’s mission is assisting terminally ill people with finding new families for their pets.

    What We Do
Tyson’s Place Animal Rescue believes that pets belong with their people until the very end. Pets are family members, and they can comfort their owners during the final stages of life. However, when individuals can no longer care for their pets due to disability; death; or moving into assisted living, senior housing, or nursing home, we take in those animals.

Our rescue uses foster homes, which means that we arrange for the pet to live in a loving temporary home until someone adopts them permanently.

    Why "Tyson's Place"?
The rescue’s founder Jill adopted Tyson, a five-year-old orange tabby cat, from a shelter where he was scheduled for euthanasia. Workers at the shelter had designated him as unadoptable due to his age. Tyson's story symbolizes what our rescue is all about: valuing and respecting both people and pets no matter where they are in their life journey.

The spitting image of our little Mewer. She passed about 8 years ago. Got a tear in my eye. Thanks Butter.

Similar IG is Henry the Colorado dog.
He and his buddy Baloo the cat do all kinds of cool shit. Worth a follow to have something positive on the old feed.

Google thinks it needs to create these little animations and then remind me that they exist:

Edit: fail... Gotta figure out how to post a gif that actually works.
