It is hard to say good bye to old friends, but putting the animal down at the end is an act of kindness. Based on your discription it sounds like kidney failure which is why we had to put our old cat Blanche down a few weeks ago. Vibes to you, your bride and old friend.

I just hope that I have the courage to do the same for our animals when the time is right. Our girl Kisa (tuxedo) is getting up there in years (minimum of 12 now), and I dread the day I find myself in your position.

Percy the Cat lives at my buddies engineering office in downtown Smithers. He wanders the streets and visits local merchants and generally makes friends everywhere he goes. My buddy put a GPS on him to track his movements and Percy has his own instagram now. He dropped by my grade 7 classroom yesterday. Check Percy out at;

Miss Mayhem was trying very hard to get a live mouse into the house today. I warned everyone in the house. When I came back there were mouse parts on the mat in the garage.

Sad times at the house of buttah. Our 16 year old girl is not well, she’s not really eating anymore and has zero energy. I just took this shot of her under one of our trees. Calling the vet tomorrow to make arrangements to have her put down. Mrs Flake is so attached this old gal, makes me so sad.

Sister Lola is nowhere near as extroverted. She is rather portly and rarely strays from the office.

Ms TBS once opened the front door to our old cat Kimosabe, who walked in with an injured bird in its mouth - and then started playing with it.

I’m in the shower getting ready for work. Ms TBS is screaming. I go running out wet and naked thinking I will need to fight off a home invasion.

Nope - just a dying bird and some assorted feathers. Bird tries to fly, gets about a foot off the floor - WHAP, paw instantly pins it to the floor.

Kimo used to leave dead mouse carcasses on the front steps as well…

It is one of my fears waking up with dead mouse on me or next to my head.
So far I’ve been waking up with our cats favorite toys.
