Brought the baby cat in the other night (I lock them in from about 6pm to 5am) and looking around for her a few hours later, no where to be found. A few hours later I hear her up in my closet sleeping on my ski pants. Now I find her sleeping there every day. Her spot has been outed.

Nowhere to be found. Damn cat!
We put the crate out a few days before the visit so she gets used to it. Generally find her sleeping in it when it’s time to go.

If you can catch the cat the easiest way to crate is point the crate door up toward ceiling and drop the cat in. Works every time.

My cat friend from the new hood made his way into the house through the garage and was sleeping on the couch to the dismay of the dog. Cat not one bit afraid of a 20 lb dog

Thanks for all the tips! She's a barn cat - lives in the hay barn (as opposed to the cats who live in the horse barn). I found her under the flail mower and drug her out.

    LOL 4matic!

I start out by laying down a towel on the bed. Then I start pettin’em and they get all happy and lay down on the towel, and when they’re not looking i fucking wrap’em up real quick in the towel. Then i quickly shove that whole “towel containing a cat package” right into the ol’ cat travel box. Minimizes the scratching and it almost entirely eliminates the biting.

    Almost.

Every morning he's in the cow pasture eyeing a gopher mound. I watched him kill 3, he must be decimating the local population...

Doesn't look too bad from that pic. Do you think it's holding up better?

Yes. However I never see Miss Mayhem playing with it. I think she gets at it at night when we are sleeping.

Fuck... I have actually petted Blanche. Vibes for Mrs Talisman, I know she was more your wife’s cat than yours.

Blanche was abused before we got her by a male and was typically skittish around men. Harry was one of the few males that Blanche liked to get attention from. I think we had Blanche for two years before she would be in the same room as me and later she was a lap cat for Mrs Talisman or me. I will miss Blanche, but she was definetely Mrs Talisman's cat.

The beginning of pet stories are joyous and the endings always sad, but all part of the relationship.
