That's awesome. You are doomed if they continue to partner up like that.

Don't wet it down or wash it before you treat it with this:

Nature's Miracle Advanced Just For Cats Stain & Odor Remover

Thoroughly soak the area in product and if you can, hang it out on the line to dry (you can also throw it over a shower rod). Product is an enzyme and needs to be allowed to do it's work.

For the mattress spray liberally with NM and let dry. That should take care of it. I had a cat pee on an wool felt and sheepskin saddle pad that could not be washed - I thought it was a goner but a friend told me to douse it in NM and let it dry. BINGO! All smell gone even when it got hot from riding.

For the bedspread - once it's dry wash it with this:

Nature's Miracle Laundry Boost Stain & Odor Additive, 32-oz bottle

You don't have to order through Chewy - Petco and Pet Smart both carry the product.

Also might try adding Borax to your wash - I would shy away from products with perfumes. Use something neutral as Natures Miracle has its own scent.

    It's true:

Girlfriend got the toy at one of the big stores. Brand is SmartyKat. It’s on Amazon and Chewy

I have a couple of the mouse version of that toy. My house cats love it. One of them put in the water dish (I've got a dunker) and wouldn't stop squeeking so I cut it open and removed the noise maker. I dried the noise maker out in a bowl of rice but my dunker cat was in love with the now squeekless mouse so I didn't put it back in. It is his favorite toy and his carries it all over the house and he still likes to dunk it too.

I bought this dog toy for my cats (got the 14" size) and they just love it. Mr. Fox is drug all over the house with great yowling fanfare then ceremoniously rabbit kicked with glee.

Love and luck. Not giving up. I think the health key was getting his skin cleared up with the skin oil, fish oil, mousse, and flea medicine. He was still interested in his tail until a couple weeks ago but didn't bite. The good thing now is he really doesn't want to go out that bad considering he has lived outdoors. That is rare. He is full grown cat now and has doubled his weight.

^^rousing success. That’s good to hear. Went from cowering under a plant outside not wanting to go inside to wanting to stay in and play.

I’m looking after friends/landlords kitten bros for a few weeks

I have a paw drinker too. His mother was a paw drinker but interestingly enough, out of 9 kittens, he was the only one who picked it up. The paw drinker is not the dunker.

Fyi I read somewhere last weekend that you should create a warm safe place outside in case feral cats need shelter. Of course I did nothing but this morning found a stray black cat sleeping on my terrace sofa. He's gonna get a deluxe box bed for tonight. And some food.

Thanks but be careful with leaving food or you might have unwanted guests. An plastic storage bin makes a great feral cat house.

I’ve sort of been waiting to confess about these, but this is a safe place, no one’s gonna make fun of me...right?. Under my wife’s direction I built the first one, but bought the second one. Both have heated pads and get used by the local ferals.

And yeah, if I leave food out at night it brings in the skunks and raccoons.

I had saved a cooler sized Styrofoam box from long ago shipping. Cut a hole in one end with a bit of egg crate foam rubber and an old jacket for any outside kitties to use. Its not as fancy or heated but its a place to curl up out of the wind, rain and snow.
