Yes, Excellent color contrast on the oak floor plus big size mean no trip hazard. Mom has macular degeneration plus cataracts, poor lady basically sees in black & white. You did a good job making this, it’s perfect. Plus Mom got a kick out of the heart shape.

GG sleeps with it 23/7.

Many of you know that I cared for Izzy while my friend had 5 months/6 grueling rounds of chemo treatments. On this beautiful weekend, sporting a new crop of peach fuzz, & BEST of ALL, a negative PET Scan, Izzy's rightful owner returned to claim her & bring her back home where she belongs. I'll miss the little Izz-monster but I am so grateful I got to keep her while my friend fought for her life & won. Fare thee well, Izzy, may you never darken my door again! Oh, and...FUCK CANCER!

Isisis - that's some solid work right there, well done. Taking care of another's cat for an open ended amount of time, not knowing the outcome, is a challenge few would take.

That is so wonderful! No doubt knowing Izzy was in good hands and having her to come home to helped in her recovery. You're a good friend.

How GG (or Gigi..) got her name =

My brother lives in Georgia, south of ATL more near Macon and operates a small cattle operation. One day his wife found a small kitten living behind some hay bales in her horse barn. Our mom was visiting and named her “Georgie Girl” after that song from the 60’s. I call her GG for short.

So speaking of cats on farms.....my friend is selling hers. It is in the heart of Woodinville WA and will more than likely go to developers so after 11 years she will be sending her barn cats who were part of a litter born on my farm back to me. I still have two from that litter so it will be interesting to see how the family reunion goes.

I'm building a secure kennel for them in the hay loft and will keep them in for several weeks so they can adjust. Hope they are all happy to see each other.
