We used to have one of those strips that you lay on the counter and it gives them a little zap if they step on it.
They worked pretty well.

If you are there when they do it. So far all it does is get her off the table, counter, etc at that point in time. She goes back if you leave the room.

Alice chose me. She'd been my neighbor's cat until the neighbor got a dog (nice dog but Alice was having none of it). I was so hoping (selfishly) that she would slumber off to never never land but while her resolve was strong her body was weak. It was almost like she had Parkinson's. Going to miss that furball.

Sorry, I know this isn't exactly "stoke." Thought about starting a "It's just a cat" thread to mirror the dog thread but that didn't seem much better than airing my loss/pain here. Thanks for understanding.
