Had a big scare last night. We could not find Misty and I thought she got out. I looked everywhere with her favorite toy in hand to make her come out. Nuthin. Sitting down, thinking fuck, I hear a noise in the bathroom. I take the cabinets apart thinking she got behind one somehow, nope. Then I hear a noise under the sink, open the door and there she is looking up at me. My wife shut her in there when cleaning the box out Scared me bigly.

lol how long was she in kitty prison for? we're always paranoid about the little fucker getting lost in our walls - far fetched as that might seem, i'm sure he would manage to find a way in.

kisa (the black kitty) always has terrible kitty dandruff, so if anyone here has good recommendations, i'm all ears. and don't start with the shampoo treatment stuff; the last time i tried that i got a free lip piercing (she clawed all the way through!).

Try fish oil. Does Kisa eat dry food? I use an eyedropper to administer fish oil. I used to use a syringe but eyedropper is much easier. Chao likes the taste so it's pretty easy but I do have to firmly scruff him in the sink.

yeah she's on a dry food diet - we actually tried fish oil, but she would literally eat AROUND the kibble that had any oil on it. what a brat! what cat doesn't like fish oil?

might give that another go, will report back. thanks for the tip 4matic/meadowskipper.

You have to administer the fish oil. Use proper scruff technique. You have to be firm.

yep makes sense - can i pill a cat (like pilling a dog?) i'm good at pilling dogs, but Kisa might not take too kindly to having fish oil put down her mouth.

Eyedropper is easy and best. Way better than pilling. In case you missed my edit, an eyedropper is easier than a syringe. When you scruff just stick the eyedropper in their mouth and blast it. I do it in the sink because it's easy to clean up. Fish oil is nasty stuff.

Don't be shy scruffing that cat. You're in charge. This also works but not as well.

Chao resists getting restrained and I still have to be firm but he likes his fish oil dose.

You can get eyedrop bottles at for like $2. I pour the fish oil in those for regular use.

The problem with syringe is keeping it clean. The dried fish oil makes the plunger stick and it's impossible to get all the fish oil off.

    Anti Stoke warning.

RIP Fluffles the Magnificent. Since being diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumor he had a couple weeks of a decent life. Self isolation life made it pretty easy to dedicate tons of time with him. There were days here I'd be at his side the entire day and night. Watching the symptoms develop and worsen was torture. By the end he was basically paralyzed and living on his favourite blanket on our bed. He was still enjoying cuddling and affection until Sunday, when his demeanor changed and he was no longer reacting to stimulus.

    Monday he was euthanized.

RIP buddy, I will never forget you. He had a rock star sized personality, and lived for the excesses of life (huge appetite, bit of a catnip habit, always trying to hump Toki, too many late night six packs of kibble etc). Live fast die hard I guess.
