Best wishes for Cocoa, his friends, and family. He’s lucky to have Thalia looking after him.

Things teh Kitteh does that amuse me: She's got a stash of foam packing peanuts somewhere. We can't find it. She'll come trotting into the kitchen with one in her mouth all proud and start batting it around. Well take it away. She'll show up with another one. She had been making a beeline for my wife's studio, so we closed up all the boxes we could find. She still has a stash somewhere. I'll flip her a dried bean pod, which she loves. It will entertain her for a bit. And then she'll go get another packing peanut. Where are they coming from??? We're infested! And so far we have not had any luck setting traps for teh packing peanuts. At least they don't shit everywhere. I just worry about toxic materials.

He looked like hell when I first saw him.

His origin is a literal metaphor describing the tough stoic nature he maintained since then for twenty plus years.

I know, I know, all kitties are tough like that. My biggest fear is that he's in pain and not showing it.

    Stay strong little buddy.

Vibes. We have an old kitty that is going down the same path. Last vet check turned up nothing at all but he's wobbly and stands in really awkward positions (his dysplasia?) but doesn't seem to be in pain. He forget where he is a lot and meows repeatedly until you call him. Once he sees you he gets back to normal for a bit. Pees in the house a few times a day (great)...

I'm thinking a headless rabbit. My cat Alice eats rabbits head first. Must be a thing because don't people always eat the ears first on chocolate Easter bunnies?
