Hey 4matic, I've been following your posts and Chao's progress for a long time.

I thought of him as I was writing my post, and I even tried to word it to make our two kitties issues less similar, but you're correct. Whether it's irritated skin or something psychological that caused the original spot, you are absolutely right - of course he's been thinking about scratching that itch, regardless. I had put on an anti itching spray just prior to removing the cone but it was pretty non medical looking over the counter type stuff.

The comfy cone looks like a good choice. Like I said this generally sucky cat has taken to the cone better than expected, but you can see the frustration on his face when he clunks into something - this cone is rigid and strong enough that the impediment pushes back at Fluffes with his own force, stopping him mid step. If something softer can cover the same area that would be awesome.

    Thank you sincerely

Edit we and the vet checked extensively but thankfully fleas are not present

Sure. My pleasure. The support helps! I got one size above the smallest so Chao couldn’t get at his tail. He actually kinda liked the soft cone. It was calming for him to be isolated from his tail so he could rest. Here he is today. All dirty and happy like a normal cat.

I used lanacane on Chao’s itchy spots while he was still in the cone so it might help him forget about it. Don’t know whether it worked or not. Also, he had a lot of dry bumps on his skin that are gone now. I credit the fish oil for that.

Been digging?! That's a great picture. Crossed paws even.

That's great to read, literally just ordered one and should get it tomorrow.

    Will report back.

Truth. Winter activity decreases significantly with lack of sun exposure. Longer recharging times and stuff...

After almost 3 years living together Hobbes the great loaf is finally tolerating Bosco's presence. Another 4 or 5 years and the may actually snuggle with him. Cat is a complete wildling...

I bet Martin's just stoked as fuck on the scratchy pineapple surface.

Real question though - why'd you get such a green pineapple??

De-stressing music for cats. Trying it out now, seemed to put the dog to sleep but no visible reaction from the cat:

Cats are dangerous. Turfing can be perilous. Asserting dominance is dicey. It is best done gently.

And then blowing it in to the Big Dog's face.
    Romeo is becoming a stud.

    Kisa's stache is cool.

If that guy had picked that cat up by the scruff, tossed it and booted it, I think i'd grab that guitar and rip into a rendition of ' I gave my love a cherry' a' la Bluto in Animal House. On his head.

    Fucking people.
