^ At the checkup last month, the vet heard a heart murmur in one of my cats. We’re taking a wait and see approach. I think I remember that the only cure is surgery.

Our eldest cat was also recently diagnosed with a heart murmur. We are also taking the wait and see approach. He seems fine - maybe a bit slower than he used to be... but we're all gettin' old, amirite??

The thing he *really* doesn't like is the rambunctious kitten getting all rambunctious on him.

This little recidivist has one as well. He's only ~1.5 years old so I'm not trying to downplay it but we're taking the same approach.

Is your gray cat the softest ever Nutmegchoi? I had a dog with a heart murmur. Nothing could be done for him and after about 5 years it finally got him.

He is such a snuggle bug.
Nudges and kisses are his thing.

I’m so sorry about your dog.

Update: confirmed hypertrophic obstructive cardiomyopathy. Cardiologist put him on a daily med…long term could cut him down early, or he could live a relatively normal life. Have to see how it progresses, check again in 6 months. The med seems to be giving him real loose poop. Being a rather furry chap this has been sub-optimal for all involved.

Prob bring brother Jarvis in to check for same before too long.

Easier to just chuck the kitty in a full bathtub and run.

I guess we’ll find out in due course if he shares his brothers fate. But for now the long arm of the Jarv is just kicking it Jarvis style…copious naps and occasional affection, but only on his terms.

Love the long-legged cats. Both of our furry overlords do that, always a fully extended paw while sleeping, usually with the occasional claw extension as you go by, just to keep you on your toes!

Okay.... I know I've been remiss in my promise to make nip toys. Suffice to say December & January weren't the best for me but I'm feeling back on track and can fit some needle felting into my schedule. So if everyone besides Harry can remind me if you want a 2 pak of skittle bugz I'll get on it.
