Our (my daughters) rescued Tuxedo. She was living outdoors with about a dozen other cats. She was estimated to be less than 2 yrs old. She lived behind the toilet for a few days before she took over the house.

My guess would be that a cuke is sort of snake shaped and cats have an innate instinct to be wary of snakes.

By the way, my cat Seuss is still going strong at 16+. She's slowed down a bit, but otherwise still in fine form.

Funny this thread got bumped. Our cat has been MIA for 3 days. Put up a few missing flyers on telephone poles. She must have seen one because she ends up meowing on the front porch tonight. Good to have her back.

We've got two new cats in the AD household. A friend of my wife's died from cancer last month and his two cats were in need of a new home. Meet Emma (black) and Sutter:

Good on you for taking them in. Hope they do well.

In other happy news a buddies cat came home after going missing for 17 days. Was apparently locked in a neighbors basement of a little used house.

Thanks. It's been a bit of a process. We've had one cat for 16 years and she's not real excited about two new cats entering her space. We've been keeping the new cats in one room and trying to let them explore the house more and more while avoiding confrontation with our other cat.
