Meet Elvis the Cat. He rules the household, much to my chagrin. He was a stray I adopted who had been wandering around our apartment complex right before winter got nasty. We took him in and now he's part of the family. Little fucker.
don't touch my liquor, biatch!

Now I know why I don't like cats- every cat pictured is giving the same look - "I dare you...I fucking dare you...and just to let you know I'm going to claw the fuck outta you if you try it."

The "Tuxedo Cat" look is pretty common around these parts!
Here's Lucy (aka Pounce de Meon now that she likes exploring underneath our deck!) "helping" me study tonight:
and snuggled up in her favorite spot in the world, an amazon box.
as you can see, the BEST boxes are just a tad too small for her. she doesn't care for the more properly sized fresh direct box nearly as much!

[Kat stoke]
This is Tizzy, but I call her Cricket because of her meow. She fucking rocks and loves the backcountry.
She also plays hide and seek...
and multitasks...
gets rudely awakened while basking...
does seal pup impersonations...
is on the prowl...
and does a good parting shot.
This is Coos, her brother. They live together...
and get picked up together (ecstatic, they are)...
look guilty together...
are joined at the hip...
and sometimes tell me to fuck off.
This is Terp. She is a different animal altogether.

The following few photos are actually very special to me, even if they seem very common-place. They were taken right before my Chet was put down today. They are also likely to be special to another rare poster on here who may or may not see them. If he does, I hope he doesn't mind me posting them. I think he knows that there are folks here who understand.
Chet's life was just too labored. The ongoing asthma was always dodgy but under decent control. The diabetes added to the issues, and with great weight drop, lethargy and a heart condition, I know the right choice was made.
Chet, waking from his last living nap:
Sedated and waiting for the final injection. Love ya dude, RIP, breath easy in heaven, use that vicious right hook if you get and slack, and here's to endless bowls of tuna juice, cat nip, and your favorite, clorox bleach.

This is Loretta (she has a dog brother named Conway). To udnerstand the name you have to be a country music fan. My parents named her.

This guy joined us a month ago. He showed up at a friend of the wife's, no front claws and really skinny - a little bit of a disadvantage in the hunting department. No chip, collar, etc - just fleas. Friend didn't want it because she has two cats already, and her boyfriend is allergic. He kept hanging around for a month, so with winter coming on we (read: my wife) took him in.
He's neutered, knows how to use a litter box and not to jump onto kitchen counters.
We named him Ninja, because he can sneak up on you so easily. He's kinda camera shy - these are the only two pics I've been able to take of him.

common, sorry to hear about Chet.
RIP, kitty.
Here's some funny pics of Elvis when he had to get a bath in the sink...the evil vet gave him some stuff that gave him gnarly kitty diarreah...it was a most uncool experience for all involved.
heh. kitty looks so pissed.

Your pussies looks soft.
People should learn endurance; they should learn to endure the discomforts of heat and cold, hunger and thirst; they should learn to be patient when receiving abuse and scorn; for it is the practice of endurance that quenches the fire of worldly passions which is burning up their bodies.

The kitteh baths makes me think of these little guys that we recused from a place up north. We found them under a porch covered in fleas and dirt. The tabby is Griff after RvB and the Calico is named Dante after Devil May Cry. The last one is Caboose in her Giraffe hat and hot damn is she pissed.

This is Jasper. Our daughter picked her out this spring. Unfortunately she lost a game of chicken with a car in August. She was a super cool cat and used to follow us around the neighborhood when we walked the dog. Still looking for the right replacement.

jinx cat Destroyer of squirrels
This is jinx our resident Maine Coon, she is an all outside cat and just wanders the neighborhood. She spends most of her time though sleeping in our gardens. In winter she like to take shelter in my random kayaks laying around the outside of the house, which I don't mind at all, it's like a mouse security system.
I can has clorox????
