Sweet, sweet Toki...

I suspect she's bumpin noggins with Ole Cocoa right about now.

Vibes Thaleia. Toki looks like a great kitty and was clearly well looked after. Its a sad day when an innocent and gentle cat goes to the other side.

Miss Mayhem; s pretty fucking dumb sometimes. So I don't believe you. She still can't figure out our back door onto the deck. She sometimes gets 'trapped' on the outside of it when I open it due to her shrieking to come inside. Just walk around it. Nope. She'll look up at me through the window totally confused. And angry. Always angry.

The moral clarity of their decision is crystalline, particularly knowing how Trump will regard his slim margin as a “mandate” to do his worst. We’ve learned something about America that we didn’t know, or perhaps didn’t believe, and it’ll forever color our individual judgments of who and what we are.

We are going to pick up this new addition to the house hold next week. My step sister knew we were looking for a kitten but after 20 years with our old cat, the time had to be right and that looks like now is the time.

Apparently the kitten disbursement agency hit my house. Night before I left to go camping I went out to our garden and was picking some stuff for one of my camping neighbors.
I girl screamed when I came upon a cat layed down between one of my garden boxes and a cement property wall. I went inside and told my wife, ‘hey ma, there’s a weird fucking cat out here!”
She gets my 12yo and they go out there to find it’s a mama with three kittens, apparently setting up a household in my hops. I leave to go to fish camp and get texts like, ‘i got food for them…”, “We had the kittens in the house…”
I had our younger more aggressive dog with me at fish camp, wife, 12yo, and older dog leave the house and come to fish camp. They were with me for four days, we got back today.
We come home to find the dog bowls empty and mama coming onto our deck. Wife and I both shower in our room, eventually the dogs wander into our bedroom…
To find that mama cat has moved the kittens into the closet in our bedroom. We have a doggy door and apparently mama is keen to it.
We kept Willow from eating the kittens and I think she is getting the idea that eating them will be bad for her.
The wife is smitten. Apparently we’re keeping them and catching mama and sterilizing her.
We have been chosen.

That is great Bob. Good on you and the family.

It's a great honor. Props for accepting it, especially going from 0 to 4 cats. The dogs will learn, it's rare than kitties can't lay down the law against the canines.
In other news, his shagginess Ugly had his unofficial 14th bday vet visit a couple weeks back. Kidney issues are stable since diagnosis 2 years ago. He's thin but not losing weight, vet isn't concerned. His arthritis is bad though and she put him on a fancy treatment I was afraid would cost thousands but turned out to be somewhat reasonable. Yesterday I watched him jump on and off a chair then on my desk. He looks significantly more spry and is a lot more active. Hopefully we keep his issues under control and he sticks around for a bunch more years. I just need to teach the child "soft hands" because she really likes him but plays with his old ass the way she plays with the dog: rough."Your wife being mad is temporary, but pow turns do not get unmade" - mallwalker the wise
