Found this one too, he was about a year old when we got him (back when I was in college). He was stoked that I hung up the Winter Park poster...

This is Radar (his ears are the same size they are now as when he was a kitten) doing what he does best. He can get TP out of the bathroom cabinet and shred it before you can blink.

This is noodles doing what he does best

You're gonna stand there, owning a fireworks stand, and tell me you don't have no whistling bungholes, no spleen spliters, whisker biscuits, honkey lighters, hoosker doos, hoosker donts, cherry bombs, nipsy daisers, with or without the scooter stick, or one single whistling kitty chaser?

Thanks. He's a purebred Bengal I adopted. He carries on after his Leopard Cat roots more than his domestic ones:

cat lovers, instead of creating a new thread. has anyone's cat ever suffered from kidney stones that had to be removed surgically? any experience shared will be greatly appreciated. any info on how much the operation cost (us and canada both are fine)? we're being quoted ~$1200 CAD for it.

how long was the recovery? how long before she forms new stones?

Our cat, Cricket had them (the black one). After being told to leave him at the vets (to die), I took him to Tufts Vet School and was quoted $1500 to save him. Of course I said yes and of course it ended up costing $3000. He was in intensive care for a few days, passed it on his own and ever since (3 years, now) he's been fine. It seems the IV flushed it out. We feed him a special food and it seems to be the answer.

He was in the hospital for a week, but since he didn't have surgery, the recovery was nil. I had to give him injections for a week or so, but it was easy. I have to say, I was a bit surprised the bill was still what it was, but what else can you do? As you can see, we have two brothers and they love each other, so it would have been awful to lose one so early. I'm glad we did it, but I made him work it off at the rate of one mouse per week... I'm sure your vet has more info and good luck!

Dexter playing with a toy made from some fishing stuff - stretchy string, yarn and a corkie...

He'd play with this and then finally pull it to the floor, chew on it and break the line... then meow so I'd fix it. Wash, rinse, repeat. Cats are smart... he was playing with me I think.

He was meowing "use a higher test line dumbshit"...
If some of the best times of my life were skiing the UP in -40 wind chill with nothing but jeans, cotton long johns and a wine flask to keep warm while sleeping in the back of my dad's van... does that make me old school?

Are you talking about blockage of the males urinary track? I know that my cat Charlie Murphy got it twice in about a month. First time I noticed he was acting weird and could not pee and was looking like he was trying to everywhere. After being confused for a few hours I realized something was wrong, check online and everything said go to the vet immediately. It was late at night at this point so I had to go to the ER vet (ie....$$$$).

So I went and they drugged him up and were able to insert a catheter and were able to get through the blockage. They gave me some drugs to apparently help and sent me home some $500 later.

About 5 days later, I noticed it was happening again. So I took him to my normal vet. He basically gave home some sort of injection and they watched him for three nights and I think they guy charged me like $50 because he knew I was a college student.

Pets in college = bad news at times. Charlie has cost me a ton in vet bills.

This was the other fun thing he showed up with I posted above....

Again, went to the ER vet who wanted like $1000 to fix it. So after leaving (and still having to pay like $300) I went to the normal vet who literally just help charlie down and stapled the wound like it was nothing for under $100 with some meds.

Not totally sure if you cat was having the same problem as mine, but the fix was easy. I feed them Hill Prescription C/D (both cats...and not much else but maybe a can of tuna a month) and I have had no problems since.

Hope you cat gets better. I know I was stressed when I was going through that.

Martin, my brother's cat, has had bladder stones. The first time the vet said he was about 24hrs from death when we brought him in. That was a rather serious affair and Martin had to spend a few days at the vet for the surgery and recovery. Mucho $$$.
Since then he's been on a special diet, and while he has had UTIs and other assorted age related bladder infections (At the time Martin was around 10), nothing as serious has occurred again.
The best part was when the vet finally released him with a big stapled scar on his stomach and no plastic hood/cone thingy.
"Isn't he going to chew those out?" I asked.
"If he can get through metal staples," said the vet, "I'll be stunned."

6 hours later, the vet was stunned.

Also, some youtube for cat lovers:

My dog did not bite your dog, your dog bit first, and I don't have a dog.

    thnx 4 ur repliz, srsly!

saw the x-ray this morning: it's not clearly a stone, but large oblong object (could be more like a disk). there is no blockage, but it's aggravating our cat and she is peeing blood and can't hold it much. we'll get a second opinion and probably operate. the other two options are tumor and a blood clot, but it's been happening for a bit too long for a blood clot and is more clearly defined on the x-ray than a tumor.

our cat is 7 and female.

    again, thanks for your info.
