Don't be a Jarvis. I still reference that on a regular basis.

Everytime I see cats snuggle it reminds me that I overruled my wife on taking Miss Mayhem's brother. I didn't want a male cat that might mark everywhere until we could get it fixed. I was an asshole and should have taken both. It was so sad watching her get rejected by the toy poodle when she just wanted to play or snuggle. Now she picks fights with him when she's bored. She could have had a buddy. She doesn't like any of the zillion cats in our 'hood and asserts a fairly large territory.

Opposite here. Family insisted on a cat (Jarvis) and I relented. When we were picking him up they showed us his brother (Tony)…family took Jarvis to the car while I finished the ppwk. Having two boys I was all “I can’t split these brothers up!?” in my head. Went soft and ended up with two.

Surprised I didn't catch this yesterday. Over 30 years ago my buddy had an all grey cat with a slight blue tint. Tony. He was the fattest and laziest cat I've ever met. We were occasionally roommates or sometimes the cat would stay with me. He loved to nap in this one window at one place I lived, but he had issues jumping that high (it was a fairly low window...). So it was a spectacle watching him try and miss, try and miss, and then eventually he would barely catch the sill and spend a while struggling. Sometimes he gave up. Sometimes he made it. It's the only thing I saw him put any effort into. That was his window and he was going to nap there. The wall was filthy and all scratched up after not too long. That window was also right outside the bathroom. So one of my other buddies would empty his pockets there before taking a shower. Tony didn't care, he'd just push it all on the floor. Tools, nuts and bolts, weed, pipes, lighters, cigarette butts, whatever was in buddy's pockets. Buddy was almost as lazy as the cat and wasn't keen on picking stuff up. Therefore there was always a mess there. However, Tony met a bad end. He got into something over at the neighbors at that place, didn't come home for a few days, got an infection, and was in bad shape when he dragged himself home. He didn't make it. RIP Tony.

It's been a while but thanks. She was a kindred spirit, heavy drinking aside. Gawd alcohol can be the devil.
Ms. Mayhem and her brother might not have cuddled or even gotten along. Not sure why but the boys from my second barn cat litter drove their sister out of the main barn into another. She was the nicest non-confrontational cat. That's probably what did it, she didn't stand up to them.
My GF's parents got a brother and sister from a litter and they fought like Hell all the time. The male dominated the female to the point of her basically living under a bed. When he died she blossomed.
Among my house cats, 3 siblings, none of them cuddle together although they do like each other and will sleep in close proximity.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis

Thank-you! Glad the kitteh is still enjoying his toys. My boy Milo has been going nuts trying to get at the toys as I make them. He hangs out in my craft room just waiting for me to leave one unattended. LOL!
I'm hoping to make a donation of toys to our local human society annual auction. I just shot them off an email with pics of the toys.“When you see something that is not right, not just, not fair, you have a moral obligation to say something. To do something." Rep. John Lewis
