She's been making herself right at home. I'm still caring for her, until her human finishes chemo treatments late this summer. I keep telling Izzy not to get too comfortable; she'll be going home soon & she will hopefully stay home for a good long time. Hopefully forever! FUCK CANCER!

Oh you guys.... always with the offers of kindness. Seriously I don't need compensation I just want to share with all your adorable kittehs because it brightens my day to see their little furry faces.

If you want to follow the suggestion MS made donate to a shelter or the next time you're in Petco/Petsmart hit the donation screen when you're checking out. I was actually thinking of making a bunch and giving them to my local shelter for them to sell.

What is your local shelter? I think we should all go and make a donation in KQ's name to her local shelter. I'm in!

Working on the snowflake toy. I'm not entirely sold on it. Seems like something like got lost in the translation not that a kitty would care.

Well... if you wanna go that route we have a rescue for special needs cats called Silver Cloud Special Cat Rescue that is always in need. Lately she's been having a hard time with donations and has posted that she's needed to dip into savings for supplies.

We also have a no kill humane society shelter called Blue Mountain Human Society.

You can also make donations through Chewy.com when you shop there.

I grew up a dog person and am allergic to cats. Low and behold I'm now as much a cat person as I am a dog person. We just got a new female kitten who has charmed the two resident bachelors that had the house to themselves. Taylor is a feisty little one at 8 weeks. After several days of the boys checking her out from afar and maintaining the high ground the boys have welcomed her to the family. Our big boy Tanner now let's her sleep next to him on his favorite chair.

Throwing more wood on the fire. I would really like to have a few of these for mr kitty. The idea that you grew the catnip and stitched it into a toy
    It’s priceless

Poor Fireball came by last night and I've never seen a cat pant like he was. I hope his owners manage to keep him inside the house today (they have AC - no reason he needs to be outside).

I've never seen a cat pant, period. Could be trouble? Our furballs were lounging in full sun in the garden last week when the temps hit 107. We have black ground cover everywhere as weed block. I thought they'd cook their brains out for sure but Ugly was out there for a couple hours and doesn't seem to have gotten any dumber (despite what the photo above suggests). No panting either.

Don't require any of the cool catnip toys but sent some money to Silver Cloud - love the work she is doing. Thanks for the heads up KQ.

Cats have almost no sweat glands, and will pant when very hot. Panting can also be a reaction to severe pain.
