Poor Milo. He had to go back to the vet yesterday. 6 days of antibiotics and no change so the doctor lanced and drained it.

Still hiding in the closet but he's a bit perkier.

Yeah this has been my experience. Once a cat gets infected the only good step is to get the site opened up so it can drain. "blow out everywhere*. Seems to be instant relief

Poor Milo is a shell of the cat he used to be. The drain is out and he's healed up physically but mentally he's afraid to go outside and its very sad. He tries but is not comfortable and quickly retreats to his favorite pillow where he hangs his head. He looks so sad it's heartbreaking.

Sad. Something good might come out of it though, maybe he's now a lot less likely to get beat to a pulp and injured. More cuddles for you!
