    07/08 season avalanche summary: Japan

On my website, which is pretty much just a blog, I wrote a summary of Japan-wide avalanche incidents and a moderately detailed discussion of weather and avalanches in the alpine town of Hakuba, which is where I live.

Its not really relevant here for most people, but Japan is hitting the radars more often these days and mainly for freeride and bc types. So this may be of benefit or interest to some crew out there.

^So last season is... last season.

For those aiming their pow boards at Hakuba in Japan this season some of the guys at poachninja.com are keeping a rolling summary of backcountry snowpack conditions in Hakuba. (My contributions are under the forum name of 'db')
