Just found my commuter, aka, I'm getting old
Maybe I'm losing it, but this fucker looks money. The auto tranny sounds perfect for beer-in-hand riding, or too-drunk-to-shift rides home from a party. I think I'm sold.
Remind me. We'll send him a red cap and a Speedo.

Are you going to add a rack to carry your walker?

The picture on the REI website makes it look like you already have one.

I rode a Trek auto shifter, I thought it kinda sucked. Shifted way too late for my tastes. Plus I like a certain amount of control over my shifting.
Find yourself a cruiser with coaster brakes, they make for easy drinking while biking action. And "too drunk to shift rides home"? WTF? Are you some kind of mongloid retard? How hard is it to shift? Click click click. Or, if you really wanna be hands free, find yourself an old Bendix kick-back shifting hub, those things are money."fuck off you asshat gaper shit for brains fucktard wanker." - Jesus Christ

I was commuting on my trail bike this weekend in Steamboat. No problems riding the few miles home on the Yampa river trail with no lights. A little reckless but good times.
Funny looking K2 though.A gay-rage full of toys. You can guess em.

Have to admit I'm somewhat fascinated with the 'coasting' auto shifter hubs. Specialized and Trek I think run those?
I wonder if there is a chopper with auto-shift rear hub + coaster brake...I'm so hardcore, I'm gnarcore.

Men's automatic six-speed bike with high crossbar . This unit is new and comes in the Factory Packaged Box containing the Bike (needs assembly), users guide and other components. The components that go to make this bike are high end: Shimano components -Cantilever, Center-Pull brakes -Steel frame construction -Quick-release seat post adjustment -20.5" frame fits 5'5" to 6'5" tall riders -Fully adjustable handlebar & front fork
Autobike brings automatic transmission simplicity to cycling. Its 6-Speed Shimano derailleur system uses centrifugal force to shift effortlessly to the right speed at the right time. You always start in the lowest, easiest gear.
Autobike is designed to keep you pedaling at a steady 65 revolutions per minute, ideal for recreational riding. The automatic 6-gear derailleur helps you handle hills or wind resistance. Enjoy the scenery or watch out for traffic, while hands stay safely on the handlebars and brakes. The extra wide, spring cushion seat can easily be adjusted with the quick-release adjustment. The all terrain tires with 26" aluminum rims are great on the street, back roads, or trail riding. With steel kickstand, the Autobike is great to take on road trips, it weighs only 34 lbs.

This is what yo want. Just swap the bars out for some geezer style. 2 speed, kick back coaster
If you want an auto shift I can score you a deal on one the treks. That offer stands for kid woo as well . The shift point is actually settable on them, so off the the shelf they suck but tuned to you they suck a little less.a positive attitude will not solve all of your problems, but it may annoy enough people to make it worth the effort
