groomsmen gifts
so I am getting married in less than a month and need to get gifts for the groomsmen but haven't come up with any great ideas. want to get these guys something cool, relatively useful, and unique. with that said cuff links, ties, and the likes are out. thought about personalized flasks, maybe some sweet cowboy style belt buckles with their initials but neither one has really been the answer. any thoughts, anything you have gotten for being a groomsmen that you actually liked or thought was pretty cool.
frick all this little stuff that goes into a wedding i should have thought of earlier, but being a man its getting left to the last minute. thanks for any help.

i like the personalized flask idea, especially if it is personalized to the point it comes full of each groomsman's favorite liquor.

What's your budget?
I also sent a PM because one of mine posts here and he'll see the gift he's getting in a week if I post it here.Last edited by Sphinx15; 06-30-2008 at 02:16 PM.

A buddy of mine is getting personalized putters for everyone.
I've also gotten a framed photograph which was real cool. Headphones and board shorts have also worked out well.Last edited by WWCD; 06-30-2008 at 02:19 PM.

dang you all are quick.
Sphinx got your PM I'll get back to you on that, thanks a bunch thats a great idea.
For the flasks I was thinking of putting everyones favorite liquor in it. only problem with the flasks is my best man, my brother, is 18. Not sure the parents would be uber stoked on me giving my brother a flask of tequila.

Bluebird got all of his groomsmen bait casting reels and rods from Bass Pro, but they are all big fishermen. They loved them.
This was a lot better then the Vineyard Vines bow tie and cumberbund set his friend got for his groomsmen.

I got married in Feb an took all my groomsmen skiing. Beat that.
Considering yer getting married in about a month, unless you wanna spring for that trip to Argentina, that most likely doesn't help you very much....This is the worst pain EVER!

If you go with the flasks, just don't get those sold at malls at those little engraving booths. Or at least ask if they have a 'better model'. Mine started leaking after a year or so. Never did find the leak but it facking pissed out a bunch of Crown...

and I never had a shortage of people tryin' to warn me about the dangers I pose to myself.

Good thread. Sphinx, can you hit me with your killer idea? Because I'm fresh out.
If they're into cards, a nice set of clay poker chips in a carrying case is a good gift.Last edited by Steven S. Dallas; 06-30-2008 at 02:38 PM.

I've been in several weddings and my favorite gift was a cocktail shaker and an autographed (bride and groom) cocktail recipe book.
