Overeem, a legit mma OG, gets the resilient win. Well done. And well done to the UFC for pulling off the events. Fingers crossed.....

Yeah, how about that, I thought the fight was going to go the way it started, but the Demolition Man showed up. Kudos.

Jorge Masvidal stepping in on six days notice to fight Usman for the welterweight title (and"BMF" belt??) after Gilbert Burns tests positive for Covid 19. That is BALLSY taking a title fight with one of the best fighters in the game on less than a weeks notice.

Sounds like a fucking fantastic fight to me. The whole card looks good, this is a PPV that I think is gonna be worth buying..

Great fights last night. Those heavy weight guys are damn scary when they let off a flurry of punches. I get to spar a big black belt a lot and when he comes in my first instinct is run. I am really impressed with how Cormier's ability to stand in Miocic's range trading punches.

I though Kai Kamaka looked really good and I think that was his first fight in UFC.

Full fight is still up (edit: no it aint) check it out before it gets taken down. Quick fight, disappointed that it didn't go much deeper into championship rounds. Second half of the first round was really the only good action in the fight, it ended before the 2nd round really even got started.

I enjoyed the co-main event more. As good as Whittaker looked against Cannonier the way he stands with his hands low and head forward makes me think Adesanya can still pick him apart.

Khabib running through Justin was impressive. I never thought I’d see Khabib with mounted triangle. Plus he made it look easy against a D-1 college wrestler. Great fight.
But Ellen kicks ass - if she had a beard it would be much more haggard. -Jer

    Not just a D-1 wrestler, an All-American.

According to Cormier, Khabib did the mounted triangle instead of the arm bar because it was Khabib's father's favorite submission. Also, he didn't think Gaethje would tap, and he didn't want to break his arm, because Justin's mother was there.

I was in a martial arts seminar training most of the day and at one point we were discussing the potential for breaking a shin with a calf kick. Then to see Weidman do that in his fight was not what I wanted to see.

Terribly ironic that happening to Weidman, considering the second Anderson Silva fight.

Some truly great fights at this Florida super-spreader event.

There was a perfect haymaker right hand, a perfect roundhouse kick, and perfect grappling domination.
