80mm fer SS - educate me

i did some searching here and a bit on mtbr but haven't found much. my ss needs a new squishy fork. i'm a bit out of the loop on fork tech. i don't have the cash for retail prices or close to retail, so current forks are out of the picture. the 80x sounds pretty interesting. i'd like to keep my geometry the same. what else should I be considering?

    cheers and thanks

Good luck locating one- http://www.spinner-usa.com/e/aeris-sport02.htm High tech and usually on the more affordable side.

a rock shox reba with the spacer in it to make it 85 mm travel should be able to be had for a good deal. Also a marzocchi corsa, xc 7000, or a previous year marathon ought to do you well.

2nd the reba rec. Nice lightweight fork, reasonable price, and the optional remote lockout 'poploc' capability works great for singlespeed application.

thanks for the recommendations. my eyes are peeled (ouch) on the forums and ebay for something lightly used and not too pricy.

    cheers
