    Next Top Chef-bacon ice cream

One of the finalists, Richard, makes bacon ice cream for dessert and doesn't win.
    The show is obviously rigged.

The rest of Richard's meal wasn't up to par, unfortunately. But I liked how the judges said "why doesn't Ben and Jerry's make this?"

I wish Richard won but his meal just didn't cut it.

I am glad that stupid bitch didn't win though. She should have been gone long ago. I was getting scared when they were on the chopping block because they were giving her meals a lot of praise.

Too bad for Richard, who is probably the most talented of all of them. You gotta wonder what would happen if he hadn't said he choked- they hate that.

    Thumbs down

I thought Richard was the most consistent & most creative all season long. Yeah, his last service was by FAR one of his weakest, which was unfortunate, but awarding the win to anyone else kinda soured me on the show.

We love this show, and yes, Richard was far and away the more talented chef but the winner was no slouch. Richard will be very successful very soon. Watch for him in a major market in a major way.

I look at it like- there's the regular season, and there's postseason. If Richard had gotten the win despite having what from all appearances was the third-best service in the final, what's the point of the final?

I wonder if Richard, as creative as he is, wasn't running out of ideas a little bit. That was the third time he had made the "banana scallop" dessert and while everyone liked it I'm guessing the judges weren't as impressed with it as they might have been were it something they hadn't tried before. If he had the best of any of the four courses in the final (and hadn't admitted to blowing it) then he'd have won; it seemed like he and Lisa had pretty comparably well-received desserts but hers was original and his was a retread.

Keep in mind that Richard and Stephanie were tied for the number of elimination challenges they had each won. So, if you are looking at apples to apples, and rule out that stupid bitch Lisa (and her standard Thai food that can be ordered at any decent Thai restaurant), then Stephanie would, in fact, be the winner.
Now, if I had my choice, I would dine at Richard's restaurant before any of the others. I really dig molecular gastronomy. I liked it when Marcel brought it to the show in season II, and again when Richard did it this season. Technique and making food different is exciting!

On an another topic- My fiance and I recently dined at Tom Colicchio's newest restaurant Craftsteak at the Foxwoods MGM Grande. Some serious steak was consumed during that meal!
