    U.S. Open

    Anybody watching yet?
Just got home and see that Tiger doubled 1 and then birded 4. Good tee shot on seven leaving him with birde chance.
Seems to just getting into the game now.

Stricker is solid and accurate. He'll be in the hunt all weekend after a good start.

    Tiger to even.

HBO had a great special on the 1960 US Open last night.

I don't know why, but it is still hard for me to believe on of the great golf battles of all time happened in Denver, CO.

The pairings are great- totally agree
Woods looks like he pushed a little too hard after those three birdies. Flied a few drives but looks good still.

How much does that hybrid cost? I see it can hit the ball at least 36... inches.

Great special. Saw it last night. A Ben Hogan/Jack Nicklaus pairing and Arnold Palmer coming back from 7 down in the last round...

Tiger- its not unusual to have a couple bogeys a round here, I just had them on the same hole.

Gonna be hard to watch much given the first sun in Jackson for ten days is hitting.

Tiger had the putter working. He was not sticking it close, but to within 20ft, then was just draining those bad boys. I am not feelin him for the weekend, but hope I am wrong. Golf is just more fun to watch when El Tigre is dusting everyone.

30 on a nine at the US Open? That's one off a tournament record.

I got a kick out of reading pre-tournament articles that didn't seem to give Tiger much of a chance. I like Tiger's chances. I like Tiger's chances a lot more than the Lakers' (chance to force a game 7).

Still, I'm curious to see how Saturday plays out because there is a lot of talent on the leaderboard. I'm really curious to see if the field starts to lose its will to win under difficult conditions and the games' premier player coming back to form.

Yeah, but after Tiger he's one of the few guys that I would like to play a round with on the tour. He usually appears to be having fun, plus he looks like he's the only guy who's got a mini-bong and a nice bag of weed in his bag.

    And he talks funny.

    UNBELIEVABLE.
