    Zambezi Season

I was looking to go to the Zambezi to kayak this october but am a bit unsure as to when the optimal flow is. I know it would be at its lowest so it would be possible to run more of the upper stretch but what about the play and overall quality? When is the best time to go?

august to november is prime time. You want to go during the "low water" time when the flow is like 10,000 or 15,000cfs so you can run all the rapids from victoria falls all the way to the mellower class III sections. During flood stage, you have to start at say rapid 12 and miss the best rapids upstream.
