The River Run lodge, bar, and sun patio are great. Always a decent crowd, good service, and afternoons outside in the sun with a cold one. I've never seen attitude unless it was a flat-lander making a stink in Atkinsons market. Locals for the most part appreciate tourism money and met some cool folks there. Oh, have my 5B plates too but they're retired!

seriously, you're asking about early October snow?
    who gives a fuck?

(unless you're some jhmr pr dipshit just itching to include it in the 19-20 season totals even though it's all melting as I type)

sun valley sure does have some damn good, extensive and very expensive snowmaking, though. Tells you all you need to know about what they think of the reliability of their natural snowfall.

That’s a feisty response! I was just wondering since things vary year to year. Sun Valley is a weird place, but fun like I said. Not sticking up for it at all. I’m a Targhee guy, myself.

Stumbled upon this thread. The Tone stoke is bittersweet.
I moved to Ketchum last Oct. would be stoked to meet some local mags for turns, tours and/or beers.

Yo! Down in Boise but spend a lot of time up there. Pretty sure we met down in Denver and I rented a bike from you about 12 years ago.

There isn't that many residents in SV vs Ketchum and/or Hailey so I'll take under on SV. Hopefully it isn't floating around Atkinsons.

Heading to SV for a golf trip this weekend and looking to get in some trail running while I'm there. Any trails above treeline that are snow free or mostly snow free yet? I know it's still shoulder season but would love to get a few 10ish milers with 4k+ in elevation if possible.

It was a lousy snow year. You'll have no problem finding dry trails.

Hoping to rent a home or condo this month in Ketchum/SV area . Surprised that most Vrbo offerings are holding at high prices - anyone have any property manager contacts or know anyone looking to do a short term rental ? Thx

Short term rentals are booked. Real estate is flying the same day above asking prices, sight unseen. Everyone has discovered they can work from their SV home and not go back to Seattle, LA or NY. Busiest summer ever.

And SUN is a sweet airport to fly in and out of on the private jet.
