Well, that was the damndest thing ever. Last fall we noticed this owl in the tree in our front yard. We watched it for a while, took a few photos of it while it was high in the tree. Then as much as I would like to have stayed and watched, I had to go to work.

Probably exposed to people as a chick or hand fed at some time. Great opportunity to get good photos.

Thanks, though I have gotten better over the years, I am sure there is plenty of room for improvement. I always look for an excuse to get out in the hills, whether they be snow covered or not. I (we) do a bunch of scrambling during the warmer months. Got my eye on a few summits in the Wyoming Range this year, spent a few days there last summer, Deadman, McDougal and Triple Peak.
