Well, that was the damndest thing ever. Last fall we noticed this owl in the tree in our front yard. We watched it for a while, took a few photos of it while it was high in the tree. Then as much as I would like to have stayed and watched, I had to go to work.

When I got home that evening, I saw that the owl was on the rooftop of the house across the street. I pointed it out to one of my sons. As I lifted my arm to point, the owl flew off the roof, directly towards me and, no shit, landed on my shoulder. Imagine my suprise!

It stayed around the house for a week or so, coming to us everytime we went outside. I eventually called the Fish and Game and they came out, caught it and relocated it to a more remote location......

Professional? No, a big resounding no!

    1. I live in a kick ass place....

    2. I always have my camera on hand....

If I did this professionally it would take the fun out of it. I have had a few people approach me and offer to buy some of my shots, but I tend to shy away from that aspect, just not interested, guess I don't want it to turn into work.....

    PHOTO/VIDEO, JONG!

(Actually, it would be entirely irreverant to JONG provider of such good stoke... You can post shots like this wherever the hell you want--I'll still look at them and be most pleased).

Thanks, though I have gotten better over the years, I am sure there is plenty of room for improvement. I always look for an excuse to get out in the hills, whether they be snow covered or not. I (we) do a bunch of scrambling during the warmer months. Got my eye on a few summits in the Wyoming Range this year, spent a few days there last summer, Deadman, McDougal and Triple Peak. Awesome country.

Well, you can tell I like the Tetons, and who doesn't? I live close enough that I can be there in an hour or less, and frequently make the short trip. I have an aunt (lives in Jackson) who is getting up there in years, so I make it a point to run up and see her every other week or so.

A few more I picked out....
