Charlie is comfortable, but I see the end is close. We give her lots of scratches, she loves it behind her ears, back of head and neck. She is loved and she knows it. We built her a ramp to make it easier to get down off the back porch, but she is afraid of it, preferring to negotiate the 3 steps.

Did a DNA test on her a while back, turns out she is part Lab and Stumpy Tailed Blue Healer with just a touch of Boxer. Tail naturally 'docked'.
We found another pup of similar ancestry. His name is Hank. Charlie is teaching him how to be a good boy.

Was a great day yesterday. Still feeling the vibe today.

Blizzard conditions yesterday early morning on the way. The portion of road near Gilmore Summit nearly impassable. Still managed to keep it on the road. Bare roads from Leadore on to the pass. Snowing heavily when we arrived at the parking lot and continued snowing for several hours. Then the sun came out. Oh joy!

Couple more shots from Sunday. Was my best day of the season. The snow, the company, and the general vibe from everyone on the hill. Wasn't crowded, no lines and no wind.

Tate has taken it upon himself to buckle me in occasionally. I am still able to easily do it myself...but the right knee is starting to give me issues. I'm nearly 67 so I don't argue and happily let him. :-)

Bears... I have a love/hate relationship them. Will not camp in Island Park or nearby vicinity. But that's ok. Bears need a place too, I'm just not going to sleep in the woods with them anymore.

Got the Ninja out the other day. There really hasn't been many days to ride. Don't know about over there, but this side has been windy as hell almost every frickin day. Sucks.

I've got about 6 weeks before I head to the fires this year. I have a hunch that it will be a long and gruesome season. I plan to get 100 days in. Last year I put in 75 before it was over. Boss suggesting a $100 a day raise for me also. I'll take it.

So....we better go in the next month or so. Ought to be a nice day sometime! I'd love to visit brewery and Museum. I know I've wanted to visit for the Mountain Man museum for years.

Also, does not have to be a weekend for me. I'll stay in touch...

Yes, what a fun ride it is. Very short. Very fat. Very responsive. I've ridden a lot of different boards over the years, never really thought any of them were much different from the other. Some subtle differences here and there, but not a huge amount. The Sushi? HUGE amount.... touchy f'er. Doesnt take much to get a response and in the beginning took a bit of adjustment. I am still learning, but loving every minute of it.

Thanks. Yes, it is a cool shot. What you can't see is the fire raging just out of the photo. I have video that I will post as soon as I get a chance. This fire is big and nasty.

It's crazy out here. Wind has blown the fire up. 20 to 50 mph every day. Worked till 3am last night. Up at 7:30. Dang. Haven't pitched a tent yet....sleeping in the pickup every night.
