WISP opening DH Race.
Superchief 1st Beginner older than hell class.
Guess I'm gonna move up to Sport for the next three races.
Only my 2nd Race/2nd Season ridin lift serve, and wanna give props to the collective for helping me put together a TGR basket case Bullit.
The build is cool, aside from the derailuer and the brakes all the parts came from Sprocket Rockets. Frame, Wheels, and a bunch of stuff from MarsB, Marshal and ChokeSlam for pretty much everything connected to the headtube and front wheel, Uncle crud for the Blackspire dually that hasn't dropped a chain yet.Last edited by SuperChief; 05-30-2008 at 10:05 PM.

Nice. Really nice. Congratulations on your win!
Inexactly, how old is the older than hell class?A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

Thanks for the Props, big bikes and Sprocket Rockets got me hooked on biking again, it's been pretty fun, the vibe here is great. The Wife even bought a bike last year so she can ride with us, and she's motivated to go to a dirt series Camp in Nelson this summer.
Not really that old in Geologic time, Under 40.... feels old....specially when you're a full time student taking classes with 17 yr olds. It was a pretty good feeling to shave a bunch of time off last years race on the same trail, and it was also really cool I posted a faster time than the 16yr old kid we ride with, I thought he was gonna school me cause he can charge the doubles and clear em.
Gonna stop tomorrow and take some riding pics to post up the Wispy goodness. Unless I can't find the owner of the DHR in the garage and then we might go ride some moto trails and put the Bullit to x-country use....
In the above group shot the cute young girl in the pink moto pants was the only girl to run a sub 3 min time, there was a pro women racer in the field. I imagine this girl has a dirt bike at home the way she rides and dresses. It will be cool to see her win a bunch of races. It will be quite damaging to the ego's when she starts whipping all the boys too.
2008 Wisp Race schedule from the Racers Edge Website:

Series Finals - Sept.. 20-21 - MAC - Double pts.Last edited by SuperChief; 05-31-2008 at 05:14 PM.

Thought I'd add some more pics from Dmacks website.
Working on the dual slalom course, with the mountain coaster in the background
Racer making sweet love to nature, actually he missed a 90 degree corner and dropped his front tire in a gap where theres a crppy wooden support that likes to toss you. happened twice to me already this year. I'm gonna sneak a shovel in there some day and make a proper berm.
Things appear smaller on film, except Rosie.Last edited by SuperChief; 05-31-2008 at 05:56 PM.
