I'm not sure if it sucks or not that the Flute Chutes are now inbounds, with no lift to service will traffic increase that much?
I dunno the answer, went out there with some other people who were/are as backcountry ignorant as I am back in '96. F'in great skiing, in retospect luckily I'm here to tell about it. I never knew of the risk of avy's then. I just know it was one of the memorable ski days of my life.
Mebbe good, mebbe not.
What say the Whistler Mags?I should probably change my username to IReallyDon'tTeleMuchAnymoreDave.

Kinda sucks that those new runs are officially opening. The last few years have seen great top to bottom powder with minimal people. Used to ski those runs when they were just tree glades many years ago... I hope they don't start grooming them....
I guess the next step will be lifts up flute? Fukin' Intrawest....Martha's just polishing the brass on the Titanic....

Last season regularly hiked up HWY 86 when the peak was closed to hit those runs to creekside. Longest powder run on the mountain IMO. It was good while it lasted....

goat path -> vd trees -> hwy 86 -> big timber -> creekside .... then do it again (or some variation of it)
