Well, I agree with many that have mentioned. Though some of you clearly suck.

    I would add:

    Dances with Wolves
    Glory
    The Empire Strikes Back
    Spies Like Us

    Clockwork Orange
    Raising Arizona
    Repo Man
jeremiah johnson is seriously underappreciated in my opinion. i just watched the maltese falcon again and it's an amazingly good movie, writing and characters are so much better than most. i also second outlaw josey wales.

i watch a ton of foreign flicks and i'd say on average they're far better than most of the crap that has come out of the u.s. in years. not necessarily my all-time favorites, but a much safer bet than anything domestic.

clint eastwood has been in and/or directed a lot of great movies. alfred hitchcock... i'm also on a bit of a bogart trip right now.

i'm just trying to ease your witherspoon jones, jer. it's a thankless job doing anything for you. but are you really going to argue on behalf of hollywood? the land of worthless, one-dimensional actors, tired writing and special effects?

oh, right. you loved no country for old men, didn't you.
