    Thumbs up

What a great first season in Waaarshington! Way to close out the season on top of chair 2 at 4pm. Thanks for the WA hospitality. It's touring time now!

However, I agree it was good and was even slightly better today in terms of snow condition IMVHO. Tomorrow is last, last last day!
Ok true, it wasn't "corn" corn, but it was good enough for me as my spring break wasn't really spring break. (End of March/Beginning of April)

    What a run though.

Here's to Alpental and all the people that worked so hard to open and keep things running, for one of the best seasons ever... Thanks to all.

Lauds to the Alpy management and staff for staying open through MD weekend. We spent all three days there this weekend, after electing not to tour due to the iffy weather (which, it turned out, would have been fine for W slope Cascade touring -- but who would have known?).

We had a ball dodging the holes in the snow, tree wells and exposed cliffs in the Alpy BC all weekend.

My only regret -- not taking a rope and rack to climb The Tooth via the Great Scott Traverse yesterday. Oh well, The Tooth will be accessible via skins for another 2 to 3 weeks.

Whooooppeee for the seasons lift served closer @ Shralpensmall.

Despite the glide cracks and gaping holes, there was a lot of good turns to be had. And it was good to see the beaming smiles of reHabit, mtnman, Spindrift, PhiLL and sweet to run some laps with the posse of k00ks like greydon clarke, squirrel99 (thanks for the Rosa Regale, that shit r00lz), PNWBrit(thanks for the ride) and unca zeedashbo.

Here's to skinning season, summer, sun dresses (not yours z-bo) and hopes for major dumpage early next year!

This definitely would have been the season to get the Big S pass. I thought about heading up yesterday but decided against it because I'm too cheap! If I had bought a pass I'd have been there for sure.

Thumbs up ahhhhhhhh - THANK YEWW!

Fun times all weekend long! Does it get much better really? Huge props to the entire summit crew! It was great to see some of them getting in on the last of the last runs yesterday btw.

Did anyone else see Shot 6 go boom on Saturday?

There are too many memories from the weekend to highlight any one of them specifically, but thoughts of multiple maggots tearing down the fan yesterday for one more before 4, and then watching everyone tear down Nash at the end will carry me over 'til next season quite nicely.

    woot woot!
ps:who's up for gettin down @ Chinook soon?

Any chance Chinook will be in season the weekend of the 21st or is that usually too late for the pass?

My magic 8 ball says yes.

Especially if you can wield that avie shovel spatula over your sexy grill like you did yesterday.

Good chance it will - there's so much more/lower snow than last year when it was still good into mid june - so long as we don't have any particularly crazy weather before then.

    Have a great NY/Norweedgien trip.

If there is interest I'll happily provide Groinwater beer chilling and grilling facilities for post Chinooking get together.

Ahh, chutefest at Sunrise, my favorite spring festival. That's good news Altasnob. Chinook is scheduled to open on Wed June 5th from what I hear.
Is Sunrise scheduled for the same day or that weekend?
