How do I hate thee ESPN?, let us count the ways
1. Yankees - Red Sox ad nausium, even when they're not playing
2. Steven A Smith
3. Stuart Scott
4. Booyah!
4. 365 days of NFL coverage. Seriously, it's called the NFL network
5. Abolutely 0 hockey coverage until the playoffs, then they get 5 mins on SC
6. Say Hello to my Little Friend!
7. Televised drafts. Seriously, aren't there sports on?
8. Who's Next?
9. Blatant disregard for teams not residing in the greater Boston or NYC areas.
10. Firing Harold Reynolds. Seriously, is verbal sexual abuse that bad?
I know there are more, I'm just going to try and fish my remote from my tv screen now...I still call it The Jake.

Was Jim Grey working for ESPN when he asked Pete Rose if he gambled on baseball his first day allowed back inside a ballpark? If not, he should have been.

That is tough, I'd have to go with Steinbrenner, those dashing looks will carry on for generations.

They are all ugly! Pinstripes make them look fat and hank needs no help looking fat.
ICYWI-I have to drive a car for two weeks with maine plates that say NYY. Luckily i will be in the Baltimore area, not home noth of Boston. I am wondering how my future brother in law's fancy audi has not yet been vandilized living in Portland???A woman reported to police at 6:30 p.m. that she was being "smart-mouthed."

Just another bump to say FUCK YOU to ESPN again. Since when is it cool to have the front page article on your website be "subscriber content only"???
They make you pay for all the articles that are worth a damn anymore... maybe they should stop paying Skip Bayless, Mel Kiper, Stuart Scott, Colin Cowherd, and all the other douchebags they have on their network these days.

Seconded.
But.... I got love for Cowherd. Listen to his radio show during college football season, especially on Fridays when it's clear that he was up late drinking martinis and chasing skirts the night before. Dude is a rabid college football fan and a has the wryest wit going. Too funny.
Those other guys are dorks tho. StuScott is ok, actually.
Skip Bayless = turd sandwich

Maybe it's just me but I hate when they call baseball innings "top 3, bottom 7" etc.
-

I can't agree with you there... I think Cowherd is the biggest ass-kissing, hypocritical douchebag on radio or TV. I can't believe he got his own show.
The only thing worth watching on ESPN these days is PTI, Baseball Tonight (to a point), and the few times they actually televise a game.
This analogy accurately describes where they're going these days:
MTV: Videos as ESPN: Live Sports

As far as sports radio personalities go, he's best of the heap... Mike & Mike are blah.... Dan Patrick is blah... Terico & Van Pelt.... meh... kooky local sports guy is a dork... although I'm becoming more fond of Rome's radio show despite his retarded TV show.
And I have to agree with the MTV/ESPN analogy.... and don't even get me started on Texas hold 'em coverage.
Coming soon: Little League World Series coverage (yaaaaawwwwnnn)
EDIT to add: I suppose their void in programing suggests a motive behind the rumors of a possible rebel pro surfing tour... not sure how well it will lend itself to true "live" coverage, since one or two heats will eat up a whole TV slot. But... I'm sure it could be boiled down into something more compelling than poker, little league baseball, college softball, or whatever bullshit Rick Reilly does for them...

Uhhh....seeing that there is a top and bottom of every inning in a baseball game, Im not sure they could say much more unless you want them to fully state "top of the third inning" or "bottom of the seventh inning". If that is what you are saying, I get your point.
What does bug me is the concept of a "middle of the seventh", which does not exist. From the second the third out is made in the top of an inning, the inning then becomes the bottom of the inning, not the middle of the inning.Aut Viam Inveniam Aut Faciam.

People on ESPN that need to go:
Skip Bayless, Jay Mariotti, Woody Paige, Stuart Scott(ok in the beginning, now entering Ahmad Rashad levels of jock sniffing irrelevance), Rick Reilly, Steven A Smith,
People who can stay:
Kornheiser, Ryan, Wilbon, Bob Ley, Linda Cohen, Melrose(if he loses the suits he's gone though) Scott Van Pelt, Buster O, and Lebatard(ESPN needs one pompous douchebag for the public to kick around, at least he's the best of the worst)
Guys I'm on the fence about:
Kieper Jr(I've heard him on the radio talking something other then Draft and he actually does ok, he's WAY overexposed though), Bill Simmons, Cowherd, Gammons(yeah I know, hall of famer and all but his teeth freak me out), JAWS(he just likes watching film a BIT too much)For sure, you have to be lost to find a place that can't be found, elseways everyone would know where it was
