Man ESPN sucks at hockey coverage. They have decided that Timmy Trumpets song should be the song of the playoffs, which, whatever, but it’s a baseball song! It’s just that a NY team used it and that’s all they pay attention to.

And now they’ve started putting the player’s name who has the puck on a little floating title like it’s a video game or something. It’s so distracting.

Pretty sure this is the entire ESPN business model any more.

I can't avoid them as the lobby tv by my elevator banks has it on 24/7 and my bias is confirmed each and every time I walk by.

To the other points, yes, some production assistant must have whispered in their ear that Ohtani exists and Mbappe doesn't count because he doesn't play in the league that ESPN has the rights to.
