Nice work andy! Glad to see your still charging hard as usual, don't feel too bad about bailing. The Ego is a 1000 headed dragon as they say and it's hard to cut all it's heads off. It's always reassuring to know it will still be there probly for your whole life, and you could make multiple descents in a lifetime. Persistance is key, and when that seems to fail sometime it comes down to impeccable planning, and even luck.

Keep up the good work fellas!
Andy hit me up sometime, let me know what you got planned for the spring.

    WOOOT!!!

I have wanted that N. Maroon line for quite some time - pretty much ever since I skied the Bell Cord with Dave. And I though my spandexy road ride today was rad...

It is really fun seeing what is coming out of Colorado this year! I am looking forward to more threads as I suspect more will be coming. I know some California guys heading that direction for some new routes because of the killer snow pack. Keep it coming guys!

There are few things that leave me without words. This TR is one of them.
Shut your eyes and think of somewhere. Somewhere cold and caked with snow.

A friend's snowboard has a shot of Maroon on it, and I always find myself staring at it. Nice to see it in real interweb life. Looks like a hulluva stroll. BTW I was going to paste a couple of the shots on this reply to point out my favs, but damn there's a bunch of great shots, my fav is definitely that descent shot from above the skier... looks damn near vert!!!! sick.

Good stuff Andy, JC White, and Dave.
Nice lines, good use of the rope.
Keep it up, be safe, enjoy a long ski mountaineering career. You have a lot of great skiing ahead of you yet to come...

    Good job!

Powder snow skiing is not fun. It’s life, fully lived, life lived in a blaze of reality. What we experience in powder is the original human self, which lies deeply inside each of us, still undamaged in spite of what our present culture tries to do to us. Once experienced, this kind of living is recognized as the only way to live–fully aware of the earth and the sky and the gods and you, the mortal, playing among them. Dolores LaChapelle

    Bump, debump

    I like this one.
I have climbed North Maroon by the summer route and scouted around out on the North Face, but never got to ski it.
