yup. Empire canyon off DV, the only worthwhile terrain I found when I was there.

Chalk up another hit for the Tedster. Yup, Grouse Mountain, BC. Would've been way too obvious
looking down it instead of up.
Buster's has got me stumped.

No guesses for my previous pix?
A couple more photos of the same two resorts...
(Even if no one gets it, still worthy snow porn while waiting for the season to begin.)

pig sty.
I imagine Armchair's latest is Jackson Hole. That looks like a tram tower lower center.
edit: I see Ted already trumped me on this one too!

Damn but Ted's fast on the buzzer. J-hole it is.
Don't know where that first pic of Eldo's is, but it sure is special.

The rest of us: We suck at this game
Kicking Horse is right, but "No" to The Lake. Scumshine, actually. The first SS pic was The Dive, the second was soon-to-be first tracks on Divide.
(Must have snow!!!?!%#!)

Maybe I missed it, but the answer to Dex's pic on page 2 has been buggin' me.
Looks not so much like Squaw, but North-ish Cascades... say, Cayuse or Chinook Pass with one of the parking turnouts below?

This is taken from the turnout at Chinook Pass. This would be the turnout you can see in Dex's photo if it really is Chinook Pass.
Here's Dex's photo for comparison:
I've gotta say it's darn close! I think we may have a winner

Here is what i got :
my 3 favourite ski areas.
no.3
no.2
no.1
Looking up the source of the pictures is cheating.
The number one should be easy for all those Big Mountain maggots from Europe.
Number three is the one i am constantly talking about. I put up a stoke video + according thread in April.
And number 2 is right in the middle of switzerland. (thread and Video dating from feb.)It's a war of the mind and we're armed to the teeth.

BTW, I just "cheated" and looked up Dexter's photo on Biglines. It is Chinook Pass. I just took the summer photo of Chinook Pass in August, but I would have never gotten it.

I'm new to this thread, so forgive me for quoting the first page, but I'm curious as to the accepted pronounciation of 'Berthoud' .

I've always wondered about this, too. bert-howed? bert-hooed? birth-ood?
