Technically yes, but you can check with the patrol (the summit shack is behind-left of where the picture was taken, top of chair 2) as they often allow access on a can-you-ski-it? basis. It's a 15 minute bootpack straight up the face you see. Good lines coming off the ridge into the foreground, and also off the sunny side down a long chute called ********.

    Bringing this thread back

I just came across a picture that I thought would be good. It probably isn't too tough:

Dunno where that one is (PNW?), but I wanted to say, since I didn't before, that I thought it was a stroke of genius that the AD put up the shot of Chinook pass without snow. I don't know how the hell he figured that out.

Thanks for the props, Dex, but it was Innom. that actually speculated it was Chinook Pass. When he said that it got the old cogs turning in my head and I realized I had a photo that could confirm it.

    No ma'am.

I wouldn't dare post a location that has already been done. That would be lame.

Hmm. Well, good on the both of ya's. Better visualization than I'd ever be capable of, I think.

Not lame if it's from another angle - that would be tricky. Seeing something from another point of view is inventive.

I don't think it's Crystal. The trees look right, but not the backdrop and I can't think of a bumped run there that has a knob like that to skiers right.

Almost makes me think of Peak Chair at Whislter but again skiers right looks wrong.

Not Whistler, BUT the lift that accesses this terrain does share its name with a lift on Blackcomb.

Maybe too good of a hint

I can't take credit by knowing it, see Powmag: Skywalker Couloir thread.

But, I'll still take a free beer.
