I know it's frustrating, but none of that was panic buying or hoarding. And I don't sell it and gouge people now that it's slim pickings.

Same. I used to buy a box of 9mm every time I went to Walmart/Sportsmans/Cabelas/etc. for years. So it just added up over time.

This weekend in the Reno area I went to multiple store's. None of them had any pistol ammunition in any caliber. Cabela's has filled in the shelves where bullets used to be with other items

What's your definition of hoarding? Some dudes casually shoot a couple thousand rounds a year if you count some handgun practice, bird hunting/trap league, big game, general rifle practice to maintain proficiency, etc. Keeping 2-3k rounds on hand doesn't seem like hoarding and I don't think bandini appears to be at a crazy amount.

I probably have 2,000 rounds across a number of calibers and I'm certainly feeling a little light in certain areas. Especially the rifles I hunt with but worst case, I could pull pops old 30-06 out of the safe and hunt with it and some old ammo I have if needed but I'd prefer to hunt with the rifles I always hunt with that are set up better.

Same thing with primers after it went dry (a couple of droughts ago). I'd buy a brick a week until I was sitting on more than I could use in my life.

A couple of years ago guys were walking away from huge piles of brass at the range, and I'd scoop it up and haul it home in bags for times like these. I went to the range the other day and you can't find a piece of brass after 10 minutes of looking.

Steal it from the Deep State.
    Trade drugs for it.
Buy Russian guns/ammo and smuggle it into USA - no shortages of Russian arms in the world, so it's a buyer's market outside the USA

The ammo makers say they're churning out more ammo than they ever have, yet it never reaches store shelves. So in theory all you have to do is to find out who is in charge of Palmetto's Receiving dock, and pay to get on his list, or do same with the Shipping Departments of your favorite American and international ammo manufacturers.

Life during wartime. You're gonna have to earn your groups from now on son.

So far this year I've been in the gun-a-month club and bought this cheap plinker while passing through Rock Springs last week (was not there for the meth, but it is a far more charming town than I was led to believe). I thought I needed a new wheelgun, it was $120 and included a box of shells. Shot maybe 20 rounds and it started rattling apart. I think I'll give it to my daughter so she can put it on display with her vintage looking shit she likes to collect.

If you buy a gun a month or are sitting on more primers than you could ever use, you are hoarding.
I bet guns are a pretty extreme example of the Heavy User Principle. (Business majors, is that still a thing?)
