Hopefully it's an NPAP, the bulged front trunions were for firing rifle grenades. Yours does not have the flip up grenade sights on the gas block either. Post up better pics of the markings on the receiver if you can.

Its a century arms n-pap and a 40 rounder indeed. Came with 5 other 30 rounders too. Traded a sig trade in 320, a cheapo 1911 and a ar9 i built for about 700 bucks. Feel like i came out on top a good bit.

Anyone have a recommendation for a way to put a cute little red dot on the ak? Seems like a side mount is the best, and i like that the dot would be further rearwards, more similar to an ar. Would entertain a hanguard mount too but i really like the wood.

Pretty sure a decent gunsmith could make a new firing pin. Might cost more than the gun is worth to someone not attached to the family aspect. If it were my dad's or even my father in law's I'd definitely be OK dropping a couple hundred to make it go pew pew pew again..

The pin is only about.2220 “ in length I’m guessing since about half is gone It could probably be measured up and fabricated fairly easily if buying one becomes a problem I’ll have to have some more technical expertise

Arsenals are well made, they have issues with finnish but they function reliably.

Run it hard and feed it lots of cheap mil spec ammo.

It would also look great with a set of surplus wood.

    I like it,

I have waded into the world of reloading. I even made some good bullets before I had a primer issue and melted down so to speak. Looking forward to settling in and cranking out boolets.

    Good call on reloading.

Prices are still good on ammo, waiting for more today.

    Thank God!
I don't have to walk past the Pharmacy, the cheap Chinese clocks and 3 rows of cheap kids bikes, around the Martha Stewart Sheets, to the back corner of the store. In my fucking Flip Flops with a tricked out 45 on my hip/

Who is going to pick up the ammo slack? Home Depot or True Value, ??

I am having a day. this might be inappropriate, but fuck it here it is.

I now carry a hand gun in public. Sometimes you see it sometimes you don't And I am not alone.

You see al the crazy fukers shooting up innocent people in public places> It's a thing.

That happening in a place where I might happen to be? Less likely than being stuck by lightning.

    But What if?
I have made a decision that I don't get hide, I don't get to run out the back door.
I don't get to run away while my fellow man is in trouble.

Like it or not I have no option other than to run towards the gunfire and go to work until everyone is safe.

    I am not alone.

The world has groomed and created some fuckup up humans. We are in a new place.

There need to be more of me. And yea = Those of you who know me. I would stand in front of you and I think you know that.

Sorry this might seem "Off" But this time we live in is OFF and there is way too much evil out there, Drastic measures are required.

A question I've been thinking about in regards to carry and involvement in a hypothetical shooter situation.

When do we think the first good guy shooting at bad guy, is shot by another good guy because of mistaken identity event will happen. I'm guessing less than 5 years.
